1-1-1 Syllables?

We are considering Miles Flynn, but our last name is also one syllable, similar to the surname H@ll. Do you think this works and flows well, considering the endings are different? Or is too abrupt and choppy?

Miles Flynn H@ll:

  • Yes, it works!
  • No, it doesn’t work.

I don’t mind a 1-1-1 syllable pattern, and [name_u]Miles[/name_u] feels more like 2 syllables (my-uhls) to me anyway!

It sounds fine  [name_u]Miles[/name_u] is more two syllables at least when I say it, but either way, it works

I think it’s totally fine. [name_u]Miles[/name_u] and [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] don’t have repetitive sounds (like [name_m]Dan[/name_m] [name_m]Ben[/name_m] [name_m]Brown[/name_m] would sound too repetitive) and with [name_u]Miles[/name_u] sounding like 1.5 syllables to a lot of people, it’s not even that choppy.

Thank you, all! I appreciate the insight! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

It doesn’t flow well to me but I don’t think that’s a reason someone else shouldn’t use it

I accidentally voted no but I think it works!

No worries! Thanks for clarifying!

1-1-1 is fine, in everyday use it will just be 1-1 anyway.
