I know the usual advice is to balance out a short last name with a longer first name, but the more I think about it, the more I realize short names have a lot of power and punch. A lot of people who are very successful in their fields have 1-1 names, or at least, stage/professional names, in a way it’s interesting they chose them. Here are some examples:
I’ve noticed a lot of celebrities have matching first and lasts: 1-1 or 2-2.
2-2 examples that comes to mind is [name]Justin[/name] Bieber, [name]Miley[/name] [name]Cyrus[/name], Lady Gaga (although that’s a stage name), [name]Katy[/name] [name]Perry[/name], [name]Harry[/name] Styles, [name]Niall[/name] Horan.
I’m glad that I’m not the only one who can appreciate the punchiness of a 1-1 name! My SO isn’t as partial to one syllable names as I am, unfortunately. I love that it’s an unusual flow. I think that makes the combos more special.
Let’s see how many people I can name…
[name]Jude[/name] [name]Law[/name]
[name]John[/name] [name]Green[/name]
[name]Hank[/name] [name]Green[/name]
[name]Jane[/name] Eyre
[name]Paul[/name] [name]Thorn[/name]
