10 weeks left pls help!

We are having a baby in less than 3 months and do not know the sex. If its a boy the name will be [name]Miller[/name]. We are so stuck on the girl name. Right now it’s between [name]Hadley[/name] or [name]Miller[/name] but I’m not set on either.

I want a very unique name. I like unisex and surname names.

We already have a 3 year old girl named [name]Saige[/name] and a 5 year old boy named [name]Cooper[/name]

I want this one to be the most unique of all. All suggestions and opinions welcome please!

Thanks so much!

Is [name]Miller[/name] after someone? I have never heard it used as a first name. While [name]Miller[/name] is fine for a boy, I would caution you against using it for a girl. I don’t love it, but beer associations aside, it’s not a name that a girl would probably love wearing. Some unisex names like [name]Elliot[/name] or [name]Sutton[/name] have a spunk that seems to be missing from [name]Miller[/name].

What about:
[name]Sutton[/name]
[name]Ellis[/name]
[name]Lake[/name]
[name]Seaton[/name]
[name]Jones[/name]
[name]Blaine[/name]
[name]Sawyer[/name]
Harlowe/[name]Marlowe[/name]
[name]Mercer[/name] nn [name]Mercy[/name]

Thanks so much. I really like [name]Sawyer[/name] and [name]Sutton[/name]. I just worry about the t sound in sutton. It’s hard to say. [name]Miller[/name] is not after anyone, I just love it.
Keep them coming!

Interesting. [name]Do[/name] you mean the way that if you say [name]Sutton[/name] fast you don’t actually say the “t”? I always felt like that happened in my own name [name]Kate[/name]. You don’t actually say the “t”, you just kind of stop suddenly. I agree, that’s not my favorite.

I prefer [name]Miller[/name] for a girl because it’s softer sounding than [name]Hadley[/name].
Some other suggestions:
[name]Almeda[/name]
[name]Blake[/name]
[name]Bronte[/name]
[name]Riane[/name]
[name]Toya[/name]
[name]Meyer[/name]

That’s exactly what I mean about [name]Sutton[/name]. The T goes missing. It’s true that’s it’s much like [name]Kate[/name] or [name]Payten[/name]. I love the idea of [name]Sutton[/name] though.
Any more very original names welcome.
Great suggestions so far!

I really dislike unisex or masculine names on girls. [name]How[/name] about [name]Millie[/name] or [name]Millicent[/name] instead?

I do agree on that. But if you want to use something close to those names why not [name]Melissa[/name] or [name]Haylee[/name] instead of [name]Hadley[/name]. Or [name]Jordyn[/name] for a girl. I wouldn´d use a surname as a name for a child at all because as you say it: It is a surname! There exist so many beautiful real first names. I´m sure you´ll find a good, unique and suitable one for you next baby that fits to her/his siblings names. Good luck

Thoughts on these unisex options?
[name]Riley[/name], [name]Phoenix[/name], [name]Jude[/name], [name]Avery[/name], [name]Charlie[/name], [name]Grey[/name], [name]Leith[/name], [name]Lesley[/name], [name]Devon[/name], [name]Bastian[/name]/ [name]Bastien[/name], [name]Patrice[/name], [name]Pascale[/name], [name]Kerry[/name]/ [name]Kerri[/name], [name]Dani[/name], [name]Jo[/name]

Please don’t name your daughter [name]Miller[/name]. Can you imagine the beer jokes she would get, especially since beer commercials don’t exactly cast a classy light on women? NOT something I want my daughter associated with - plus, it’s just not attractive.

You daughter deserves a feminine first name…as a first name, not a surname. Besides, if you want something “unique” - unisex and surnames are not the way to go, their very very trendy right now.

I like [name]Miller[/name], but for a boy. [name]How[/name] about Millena?

Not sure if these fit your style

[name]Elliot[/name]

We definitely have different styles, but I’ll give it a shot. [name]Saige[/name], [name]Cooper[/name], and…

[name]Milan[/name]
[name]Linden[/name]
[name]Arden[/name] (My 3 favorite for you)

I do like [name]Miller[/name] for a boy but not at all for a Girl.

I do like [name]Sawyer[/name], [name]Elliot[/name], [name]Paxton[/name], [name]Blake[/name].

I think [name]Elliot[/name] is my favorite though because she can still be a cute feminine “[name]Ellie[/name]” if she chooses

I love [name]Miller[/name] for a girl! Ignore the beer comments - there are thousands of kids named [name]Jack[/name], [name]Jim[/name], [name]Jameson[/name], [name]Samuel[/name], [name]Margarita[/name], [name]Amber[/name], etc. and no one disregards those even though they’re also alcoholic beverages. I could see if you were going to name her Anheuser-[name]Busch[/name] but [name]Miller[/name] is first and foremost a name. Anyone who only thinks beer is using the narrow part of their mind. Go for it!

[name]Miller[/name] is not only a beer but also and foremost a surname and a profession. Now, do you really want to have your daughter walking around having to explain to everyone that her parents don´t own a mill and no it´s not honoring one of her grandfathers and so on? [name]Miller[/name] is just not a name, neither boy or girl.

Thank you all for you strong opinions. I love all of the suggestions. Would love to see some more. I still love [name]Miller[/name] for a boy. It’s a done deal! Not sure about the girl though

I am not so strong willed about it as some others, but I do agree that I am not a fan of [name]Miller[/name] for a girl. Go for it if it turns out to be a boy though! I like [name]Hadley[/name] very much, and think nn Haddie would be super sweet. And to me that is much more feminine than masculine. However, [name]Hadley[/name] and other “ley” names seem very trendy right now, so if unique is what you’re after, perhaps not the right direction. I love the suggestion of [name]Linden[/name]. That would be very different and you could call her [name]Lin[/name] or [name]Linnie[/name] to make it a bit more girly. [name]Elliot[/name] or [name]Auden[/name] would be other cute options but I think [name]Linden[/name] would be my favorite!
