I’ve been pulling for [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_m]Greene[/name_m] all along! I think [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] [name_m]Greene[/name_m] is lovely! I told you in a prior thread I didn’t understand why [name_m]Greene[/name_m] was a problem, still don’t. I find [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_m]Greene[/name_m] a name but if your last name were [name_m]Redd[/name_m] (I actually used to work with someone by that last name)…[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_m]Redd[/name_m] would be an issue.
BTW: [name_f]July[/name_f] 25 is a great day to have a birthday ;-). ([name_f]My[/name_f] birthday)

I didn’t pick [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] because I’ve never been a fan of the name.
I’m not sure about the flow of [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], so I would probably go for [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Celeste[/name_f]. [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Hope[/name_f] is nice but [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] is prettier, [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
[name_m]Just[/name_m] a thought- not trying to make things more complicated, but have you considered just using [name_u]Penny[/name_u], all by itself? It would take away the length issues of [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] nicknamed [name_u]Penny[/name_u]. I adore [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] but my mother is a [name_u]Penny[/name_u]-just [name_u]Penny[/name_u], and she loves her name.
I voted for [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], but I think [name_u]Penny[/name_u] [name_f]Hope[/name_f] [name_m]Greene[/name_m] would be wonderful. However, [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] is just divine as well. No wrong answer here!
We have considered it but my husband is admit that if it is penny her full name should be [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]. I think penny by itself is sweeter and more retro. And also goes with the theme better. I think if penny itself were on the table there would be no question here. Thanks for the input
I love [name_f]Ella[/name_f] too. Everyone in past polls said it was too popular and didn’t go with my other kids names? I think it is the most elegant of the three.
I love [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], and dislike [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]. So I voted for [name_f]Penelope[/name_f].
But…all your children’s names are four letters, and so are [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]. So if you want to continue that theme, then go with [name_u]Ruby[/name_u].
I voted for [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], even though I think it’s a bit too “matchy” with [name_u]Jude[/name_u] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], it’s constantly the same u-sound. I prefer [name_f]Ella[/name_f], actually.
When it comes to the “color” thing [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_m]Greene[/name_m] is fine though!

I’ve pretty consistently voted for [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], but I do like the 4 ltr theme. And [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] [name_m]Greene[/name_m] is undeniably gorgeous. If [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is the name you love most (and DH is on totally board even tho he’s leaning toward [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]), then I say go for it. People are used to hearing ruby red, so [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_m]Greene[/name_m] makes you pause for a moment… but it’s just a moment and it’s not anything any sane person would dwell on!
Thank you for your consistent votes I do love ruby, as does my son. He basically will not accept anything else, but I feel like dh is just giving in. I feel guilty. That’s what sways me.

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] works better, obviously, but [name_f]Ella[/name_f] fits the shorter name theme. I am not a fan of [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], but [name_f]Ella[/name_f] is sweet.

So compromise on ruby. Understand that he says to me " you can do what you want I don’t care, but here’s my preference."
