Year 1: We move to a farm and get three horses. We name them Bolt, [name_u]Blaze[/name_u] and [name_m]Buzz[/name_m].
Year 2: Mathewson starts his new job as a inhouse architect.
Year 3: Mathewson and I go on a road trip through [name_u]Morocco[/name_u]. It’s an absolutely wonderful country!
Year 4: We have our first daughters, fraternal twin girls! We name them [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] “Lilah” [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] Choy and [name_f]Olympia[/name_f] [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] Choy. Their initials are opposite of each other. We didn’t want their names to be too matchy, so this is what we came up with. They’re just the sweetest little babies.
Year 5: [name_f]My[/name_f] mother [name_f]Uma[/name_f] Lavelli sadly passes away after a lot battle with breast cancer.
Year 6: We adopt a sibling group of two girls and a boy from Somalia! Three-year-old [name_u]Eliya[/name_u] [name_f]Mariam[/name_f] Choy and two-year-old twins [name_f]Yaritza[/name_f] “Yara” [name_f]Asma[/name_f] Choy and [name_m]Nasir[/name_m] [name_m]Riyad[/name_m] Choy. All their names are their birthnames. We decided to keep them, since they’ve been called that their entire lives. They’re around the same age as [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] and [name_f]Olympia[/name_f], so it’s a lot of hard work and big fun at our house.
Year 7: We buy a fourth horse: [name_m]Bridge[/name_m].
Year 8: We have our son! We name him [name_u]Noam[/name_u] Mathewson Choy. We love to have a baby in the house. The other kids are so great with little [name_u]Noam[/name_u].
Year 9: We adopt a baby boy from [name_f]England[/name_f]! We’d never expected to adopt so soon after having [name_u]Noam[/name_u], but we met this little boy and it just felt right for our family. We made a big family trip to [name_f]England[/name_f] so that all the kids could meet him and we all felt this way. Our new son’s name is Finias [name_m]Harlan[/name_m] Choy.
Year 10: When Finias is with us for just 3 months, we find out we’re pregnant! Because of all the things going on before Finias’ arrival, we weren’t paying enough attention. At the first ultrasound we discover it’s not one or two, but three babies! We’re very surprised, but since we have two sets of twins that share an age we’re confident we’ve got this! We name our identical boys [name_m]Bode[/name_m] [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] Choy, Devran [name_m]Amias[/name_m] Choy and [name_m]Oslo[/name_m] [name_m]Adonis[/name_m] Choy. We made sure their first names weren’t to identical, but their middle names share the first and last letter.
Year 11: We move into a slightly bigger farm. We take all our horses with us.
Year 12: We adopt a cat. We name her [name_f]Babe[/name_f].
Year 13: [name_m]Even[/name_m] though we thought we were very much done after the triplets, we decided to have one more! We name our daughter [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] Choy. She’s an easy baby and the triplets absolutely love their baby-sister.
Year 14: Mathewson opens his own architect business.
Year 15: We’d noticed that everyone has their playing buddy: the oldest four girls play together all the time, [name_m]Nasir[/name_m] and [name_u]Noam[/name_u] play together a lot and Finias and the triplets are very close. This leaves [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] playing alone a lot, so even though we’re not really wanting any more children, we decide to have a playing buddy for her. Well… she’s getting three new playing buddy’s! We’re having triplets again. We have identical twins and a fraternal sister. Their names are [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] Choy, [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] “Lucy” [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f] Choy and [name_u]Elif[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] Choy. The girls share the last letter of their middle name to make it complete.
