A game based from the Duggars for people who don’t actually like the real Duggars (or at least the really bad ones)! This is a much more free-willed game in terms of the family and allows a less constricting family, if you will. Noticeably far less problematic…anyway the concept is a similar layout regardless!
Family Layout
[name_m]Roll[/name_m] a D6 for the age of the eldest child. This is important to make sure the parents’ ages align.
1: 36
2: 34
3: 32
4: 30
5: 28
6: 26
[name_f]Remember[/name_f] there are 19 kids, so there’s probably a year or two between most of the children. [name_m]Feel[/name_m] free to widen the gap if you prefer, especially for the younger children as the older the parents get, the harder it will be to conceive.
[name_m]Roll[/name_m] a D4 for the family’s last name (Optional: [name_m]Roll[/name_m] again for the family mother’s maiden name).
1: It looks similar to “Duggar”.
2: It’s a common last name in your area.
3: It’s a more intriguing last name that you’d associate with fantasy.
4: It’s a last name that sounds goofy in your opinion.
And roll D4 on the style of children’s names.
1: All share same first letter with their father.
2: All share same first letter with their mother.
3: Males share first letter with father and females share first letter with mother. If any characters are not male or female, you may choose which first letter they take.
4: Has a naming theme of your choice, but not a “first letter” theme.
Now for the fun part, how are their current lives? [name_f]Remember[/name_f] this is a more free family, so adults aren’t “bound to the house” until marriage and are free to live their lives how they want. If they are in a romantic relationship or marriage, you may choose the spouse’s gender, anything is fine! You can choose the spouse’s first and middle name though it will say on the roll which surname is used. Juveniles also have lives to live and enjoy! [name_m]Roll[/name_m] D20 for how this goes, roll again if the character is too young to do the option.
