We are having such a hard time naming our first little girl! She has 3 brothers, Last name sounds like [name_m]Cooper[/name_m]. We are really looking for a super feminine name.
UPDATE:
Here are names that we currently like!!! What do you guys think?
Emmeline Ava Bellamy
(Really want to pronounce it Em-uh-lean because we love the literary and historical facets of the name! But we are in the southern US where line is just that LINE!)
Seraphina Ava Bellamy
Nickname options??
Juliette Ava Bellamy (does the double oo sound 1st and last name bother anyone else?!)
I love [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] with your sons’ names! I like [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] better than [name_u]Rae[/name_u], though. Second choice would be [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f]. [name_f]Mari[/name_f]-[name_f]Claire[/name_f] reminds me of the magazine. But, it looks very pretty.
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Meeka[/name_f]
[name_f]Jasmine[/name_f]
[name_f]Kinsly[/name_f]
[name_u]Sasha[/name_u]
[name_f]Layla[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f]
[name_f]Gemma[/name_f]
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u]
[name_f]Liliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Cassandra[/name_f]
These all seem super girlie to me
[name_m]Hi[/name_m], thank you for the responses so far!
I really like [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]! (we actually are leaning towards [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] for the first name)
and idk why I never thought of the magazine with [name_f]Mari[/name_f]-[name_f]Claire[/name_f]! Thank you!
DH liked [name_f]Gemma[/name_f]! Thank you for your suggestion
My favourites from your list are [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f] and [name_f]Mari[/name_f]-[name_f]Claire[/name_f]. Both feminine and lovely. [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is lovely as well. Other suggestions that may fit your style…
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u] and [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] are the only ones I like. I think [name_f]Nola[/name_f] is a nice nickname for [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f], and I’m assuming [name_u]Rae[/name_u] is a middle name because I dont see the point of using both as a first name. I’m not sure I like how [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] looks and there would be a lot of pronunciation issues but I do like how it sounds.
[name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] is on our own list. We have the combo [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] [name_f]Ambrosia[/name_f] or [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] [name_f]Tova[/name_f] as options. I like [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f], too. I’m not a huge fan of [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]. I can see the appeal, but the [name_f]Mag[/name_f] sound has never been very pretty or feminine to me. I would definitely stay away from [name_f]Mari[/name_f]-[name_f]Claire[/name_f] though. I actually really like your Swedish name choice and [name_f]Gemma[/name_f]. [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u] would be a very sweet combo. Otherwise, I’d choose [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] or [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f] as a first name.
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is my favourite with your boys’ names! [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] is probably my second-place pick. Both feel familiar enough to work with your sons’ names but they’re still pretty distinct from them - they don’t sound matchy.
[name_f]Mari[/name_f]-[name_f]Claire[/name_f] does remind me immediately of the magazine (though I have no problem with the magazine, for what it’s worth). Ailionora, [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f], and [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] feel stylistically really far-flung from your boys’ names.
You may also like:
[name_f]Celeste[/name_f]
[name_f]Mariska[/name_f]
[name_f]Helena[/name_f]
[name_f]Serena[/name_f] (a sort of abridged version of [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f])
[name_f]Dahlia[/name_f]
[name_f]Mirabelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]
[name_f]Sabrina[/name_f]
Nicholetta (super girly with some great possible nicknames!)
Since you’re considering [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f] or Eualie it would be so fantastic to use one! They are such underused names, and too gorgeous to be so neglected these days.
[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] is perfect with your boys! (I prefer [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f], though)
The long one, starting with a A (I don’t remember the spelling) is too difficult for me, sorry. But I like [name_f]Elianora[/name_f], kind of close.
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is pretty but not as elegant as [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f].
[name_f]Mari[/name_f]-[name_f]Claire[/name_f] sounds outdated (my second name is [name_f]Marie[/name_f] - said Mah-ri - ). [name_f]Mari[/name_f]-[name_f]Claire[/name_f] is more a grandma name .
[name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] / [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f], why not? Not easy to say, though.
From your list, I would pick [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. I’m assuming she’ll have three given names like her brothers. [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] sounds elegant and flows well.
[name_f]Mari[/name_f]-[name_f]Claire[/name_f] reminds me of [name_f]Marie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and I wouldn’t be surprised if [name_f]Mari[/name_f]-[name_f]Claire[/name_f] would be constantly misspelt as [name_f]Marie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] since [name_f]Marie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] the more common and recognised spelling. I personally feel [name_u]Rae[/name_u] isn’t elegant or particularly feminine. Ailionora would be a difficult name to have because no one would know how to spell or pronounce it. The same goes for [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f] and [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f]. [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] would be my fourth choice behind [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f].
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f]! [name_f]Sera[/name_f] & Phina/[name_f]Fina[/name_f] are both super cute as well and it sounds great with her handsome brother’s names!
I particularly like [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] with [name_m]Greyson[/name_m], [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] & [name_m]Liam[/name_m]. [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] too-
[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] is my favorite from your list. I also like [name_f]Mari[/name_f]-[name_f]Claire[/name_f]. Have you considered [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]? It gives you the flower feel of [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] with the nn [name_f]Mari[/name_f]. [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] could still be called [name_f]Mari[/name_f]-[name_f]Claire[/name_f].
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u]
(Really want to pronounce it [name_f]Em[/name_f]-uh-lean because we love the literary and historical facets of the name! But we are in the southern US where line is just that [name_f]LINE[/name_f]!)
[name_f]Ava[/name_f]-[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_f]Emmaline[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Ava[/name_f], and hyphenating it w/[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] eliminates the over popularity issue. Putting [name_f]Emmaline[/name_f] in the midspot takes care of the pronunciation issue (no one will know her mn unless she tells them, in which case, she’ll be pronouncing it).
