Thanks for everyone’s input! We at least have decided on jack for first name but still undecided on a middle name. Our last name is 3 syllables and ends in er. Any input on these is much appreciated!
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] (both names have the “k” sound; bad?)
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_u]Everest[/name_u] (love that its unique and outdoorsy since we love hiking mtns but not sure about the 3 syllable midddle with 3 syllable last)
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] (love love the meaning of [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] but does 1/1/3 syllables work?)
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] (flows well but lacks meaning)
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_u]Rhys[/name_u], i really like, although, like you i wouldn’t be keen on the 1/1/3 syllable thing either (but sometimes you just have to ignore the rules you’ve made for yourself)
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] is nice too, and would be 1/2/3 syllables, which seems nice and neat.
[name_u]Everest[/name_u] is a flexible 3 syllable name… it can be 2 syllables, and if his whole name is used, something like [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_u]Everest[/name_u] Carpenter easily flows like a 1/2/3, not a 1/3/3 (*note I just used a random 3 syllable surname ending in -er).
I like [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] (The heavy consonants don’t bother me), [name_u]Everest[/name_u], and [name_u]Rhys[/name_u].
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_u]Everest[/name_u] would be my pick because it is special to you as a couple. Drop the S to get [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_u]Everett[/name_u] and you have the 123 syllable count that flows so nicely.
I think [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_u]Everest[/name_u] is great, because it has a special meaning for you as a family, and it’s a unique middle name. It doesn’t label him as a nature nut, it’s more subtle. I think it works, especially if it’s pronounced with two syllables, great flow!
I love [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_u]Everest[/name_u]. It has meaning to you and even with a 3 syllable last name with only one syllable first name it is not too long. Plus, you will not always call him by his first name middle name and last name all in a row.
