Can everyone pull of two middle names and how long is too long? We think that we want to name our twins [name]Althea[/name] [name]Ellington[/name] and [name]Theodore[/name] [name]Augustus[/name]. Would it be obnoxious to extend that to [name]Althea[/name] [name]Ellington[/name] [name]Faith[/name] and [name]Theodore[/name] [name]Augustus[/name] [name]Peace[/name]? [name]Faith[/name] would be for the virtue but also artist [name]Faith[/name] Ringgold. [name]How[/name] much is too much when it comes to a name? Should we just skip the second middle name?
Two is pushing it, but still okay. I wouldn’t do three, though, unless you’re royalty or whatever.
I don’t see the problem with using two middle names. I’ve loved the idea since I was 8 and discovered that my cousins had two middle names not one. I was so jealous. But you would have to be careful with adding an extra name to two long names or it might become to much. [name]Both[/name] the names you listed would only work if you have a shorter last name, [name]IMO[/name] anyway.
I think I’m in the minority on this site, but two middle names is just too much name. It’s beautiful that you are into those virtues ([name]Faith[/name] and [name]Peace[/name]) but I really don’t think they add much to your current combinations.
[name]Althea[/name] [name]Ellington[/name] and [name]Theodore[/name] [name]Augustus[/name] are fabulous, fabulous as they stand.
I think two middle names is too much…always.
As a travel agent and dealing constantly with names and passports…[name]IMO[/name] 2 is definitely too much. I think both name combos you have are perfect without the second mn
It really depends on the whole name. If its two short middles it should be fine. With your combos it really depends in how long your last name is. If its long I wouldn’t, if it’s relatively short I’d go for it.
Too much is several long names or 3+ middles. I boy in my English class is [name]Kristopher[/name] [name]Scott[/name] [name]Lee[/name] [name]Jacob[/name] LastName and the little boy my sister babysits is [name]Kenneth[/name] [name]Richard[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] [name]Daniel[/name] LastName. They’re both too much.
