Hello berries! I’ve been here many a times before and still need some help naming baby girl #4.
(Our first 3 daughters are [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] [name_f]Joy[/name_f], [name_u]Devyn[/name_u] [name_u]Harmony[/name_u] and [name_f]Selah[/name_f] [name_f]Hope[/name_f]…)
Please share your kind thoughts regarding these name options…
#1 [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_f]Kadence[/name_f] – this has been our top name for the past month. My husband has begun to call her this and I like it.
#2 A name that honors my mother. Woke up in the middle of the night wishing to find a name to honor my very special mother who is named [name_f]Cindi[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u]. Thoughts went to: [name_f]Luci[/name_f] / Lucindi / [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] (?)
I recognize Lucindi is sort of made up…but I don’t really love [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f], sounds stiff and old fashioned to me. I love the nickname [name_f]Lu[/name_f] as this was my grandmother’s middle name.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] we stick with [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_f]Kadence[/name_f] which we find to be a beautiful, more unique name, or switch it to something like [name_f]Luci[/name_f] that is more popular yet has family meaning? Better yet, how could I combine the two!?

I think if [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_f]Kadence[/name_f] is your true love, that’s what you should go with. If you are already calling her [name_f]Verity[/name_f], I wouldn’t think changing the name now would be the best – you were sold on it for good reason.
If you do still want to incorporate your mum’s name, dropping [name_f]Kadence[/name_f] for [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] would likely be your best bet, though as you say [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] isn’t a favourite, and [name_f]Luci[/name_f] and Lucindi don’t exactly flow well with [name_f]Verity[/name_f]. Yes, you could add a second middle name – [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_f]Kadence[/name_f] [name_f]Luci[/name_f] or [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] [name_f]Kadence[/name_f] – but that would leave this little one unbalanced against her three sisters.
Although it’s getting a bit stretched perhaps, [name_f]Luciana[/name_f] could work to honor [name_f]Lu[/name_f], Cindi & Jean - worth a mention. [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_f]Luciana[/name_f] makes for a lovely name.
I suppose I’d say think about your mother - would she want you to use a name you both just adore, or sacrifice that just to honor her in a name your not as fond of? She’ll be over the moon in just getting to be grandma to FOUR girls, I’m sure. Perhaps just sit with it, and see what comes of that late night thought in the coming fortnight.
I feel like you should stick with [name_f]Verity[/name_f], since that’s been THE name until so recently, but I think the idea of including an honor name is great, and maybe you can switch our [name_f]Kadence[/name_f] for it. I notice you have “virtue” middle names for your other daughters, but since [name_f]Verity[/name_f] has that in her first name, it means the middle is ideal for honoring your mother, in my opinion 
Since you’re not sold on [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f], you could try switching it out for [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] or [name_f]Luciana[/name_f], as ways to get to [name_f]Luci[/name_f]–but I think the link with [name_f]Cindi[/name_f] is most clear in [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f], or in Lucindi. Since [name_f]Cindi[/name_f] is often a nickname for [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f], how would you feel about using [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f]?

I think [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] may give off a 80s vibe to some people, but honestly I love it. I think it’s such a beautiful name and the nickname [name_f]Thia[/name_f]/[name_f]Thea[/name_f] makes it more contemporary. It’s a name I’d love to see used more, even as a first name. [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] [name_f]Verity[/name_f] goes well with your other daughers’ names in my opinion!
I also think you could consider using your mom’s middle name, [name_u]Jean[/name_u] (or a variation [name_f]Jeanne[/name_f], [name_f]Jeannette[/name_f], [name_f]Jeannine[/name_f], etc.) as a middle name. [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] has a sweet, [name_f]Americana[/name_f] feel to it.

I agree with everyone’s advice - [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is a perfect name for baby girl! It sounds like you love [name_f]Verity[/name_f] so I would stick with that over Lucindi/[name_f]Lucinda[/name_f]/[name_f]Luci[/name_f]. I also think [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] matches perfect with siblings!! I personally love the combination and like it more than [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_f]Kadence[/name_f].

[name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u], which has been suggested several times, is perfect: A mix of classic and unique. I also think it goes really well with the names of your other daughters. If [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is too short, what about [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] or [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_f]Jeanne[/name_f]? For something subtle and unusual, what about [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_f]HyaCINth[/name_f], [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_f]DulCINea[/name_f], [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_f]BryCIN[/name_f], or [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_f]JaCINda[/name_f]?
I love [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_f]Kadence[/name_f], but I also like pp’s suggestion of [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u]. [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_f]Candice[/name_f] also came to mind
Stick with [name_f]Verity[/name_f]! It’s a lovely name and suits the sibset.
I agree [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is nice but initially I thought [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] would be a nice way to honour your Mum
