I am 38 weeks and questioning our final name choices. We don’t know the gender and have had these two choices since the beginning:
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] or [name_m]Donovan[/name_m] [name_u]August[/name_u]
(The middle names are after grandparents who have passed).
I think I love them both but other possibilities we have been considering:
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_u]Josie[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]/[name_u]Josie[/name_u] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_m]Ronan[/name_m]
MNs: [name_m]Joseph[/name_m], [name_m]John[/name_m], [name_m]Forde[/name_m]
My suggestion would be to take your short list with you to the hospital, you will know when baby gets here 
That being said you chose these names for a reason, they are both great names.
I agree with Newald about taking the short list to the hospital and that all are great names.
Girls:
I adore [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], I think it’s simply stunning. [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is really pretty too, but [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is just a bit more spunky. [name_u]Josie[/name_u] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is ok, but not nearly as great as the other two options. [name_u]Josie[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] sounds much too nickname-y for me.
Boys:
[name_m]Donovan[/name_m] [name_u]August[/name_u] is a nice name. I prefer [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Donovan[/name_m], but it’s your choice. I [name_f]ADORE[/name_f] the name [name_m]Ronan[/name_m]. [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] or [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] [name_m]Forde[/name_m] (or even [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] [name_u]August[/name_u]) all work really nicely! Again, take it to the hospital, pick once you meet your little one.
[name_m]Donovan[/name_m] has been one of my favorite names for a while now and I am so happy to see it on somebody else’s list. I think it has the opportunity for wonderful nick names, it sounds so masculine and adorable, and the middle name [name_u]August[/name_u] with it is like a dream come true! Well done!

I think [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is so beautiful! I am not overly fond of [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], but that’s just personal preference. I think [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] would be lovely as well. For me, it was hard to really decide until I met my little dude, so I agree with that idea! I love [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] [name_u]August[/name_u]. [name_m]Forde[/name_m] is a cool middle name. I like [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] [name_m]Forde[/name_m] a lot a lot. Good luck!
