Our life:

1: Shortly after we got married [name_m]Gerritt[/name_m]'s mom passes away from pancreatic cancer.

2: I give birth to a son, [name_u]Keaton[/name_u] [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] Hopkins!

3: Although we weren’t trying, we end up pregnant. We’re ecstatic to have our beautiful daughter, Reigyn [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] Hopkins, join the family!

4: For my 25th birthday, [name_m]Gerritt[/name_m] and my family plan a huge surprise party. It was a wonderful occasion!

5: The kids are 3 & 2, so we decide to adopt a puppy from a local rescue. We end up with a Husky/Corgi mix and name him [name_m]Apollo[/name_m].

6: We try for another baby and end up with twins! They are identical girls and we name them Laighton [name_m]Schuylar[/name_m] Hopkins and [name_u]Lennox[/name_u] [name_f]Shyanne[/name_f] Hopkins.

7: [name_m]Gerritt[/name_m] and I purchase a new house for our growing family. It’s a beautiful 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom Craftsman style home.

8: After years of planning, I finally fulfill my dream of opening a home design and decorating business, specializing in rustic creations. My sister, [name_u]Delaney[/name_u], is a partner in the business.

9: On a whim I submitted a funny video of [name_u]Keaton[/name_u] to [name_u]America[/name_u]'s Funniest Home Videos and it was chosen to air on the show!

10: We add another sweet baby boy to our family. We name him [name_m]Decker[/name_m] [name_m]Jantzen[/name_m] Hopkins.

11: While at a family get together, [name_m]Gerritt[/name_m]'s sister [name_f]Melodie[/name_f] and I get in to a huge fight about not having our children baptized. She believes that [name_m]Gerritt[/name_m] secretly wants the kids to be raised with the religion they were and is just going along with my wishes that we wait for them to decide. It takes a lot of open communication between the three of us, but eventually she agrees to respect our wishes.

12: We take a family vacation on a Disney [name_f]Cruise[/name_f]! The kids all have a blast.

13: We decide to try for one more baby and end up pregnant with triplets! We eventually welcome [name_m]Brecken[/name_m] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] Hopkins, [name_m]Dallon[/name_m] [name_m]Rhett[/name_m] Hopkins, and [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] [name_f]Honor[/name_f] Hopkins.

14: While on the way to a family reunion, a semi truck blew a tire and lost control hitting several cars including ours! Overall, we were very fortunate. All of the kids were in boosters or car seats. [name_m]Gerritt[/name_m] had some serious abdominal injuries from the seatbelt but made a full recovery. I ended up with a broken leg and clavicle. [name_u]Keaton[/name_u] had some minor bruising. Reigyn had a broken ankle and needed some stitches on her arm. Laighton and [name_u]Lennox[/name_u] both had some facial lacerations and [name_m]Decker[/name_m] had some minor bruising from his booster seat harness. [name_m]Brecken[/name_m], [name_m]Dallon[/name_m], and [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] all escaped unscathed thanks to their carseats.

15: [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] and I score front row seats to a Backstreet Boys reunion tour and preteen hearts are exploding with joy!

16: Our beloved [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] passes away. We see how sad our kids are without a dog to love on and play with and decide to adopt another from the same rescue. The kids fall in love with an adorable Lab/Pit/Australian [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] mix that they name [name_u]Remington[/name_u].

17: [name_m]Gerritt[/name_m]'s dad decided that his house is simply too big for just him now and we invite him to come live with us.

18: Adoption has always been something close to my heart and when the opportunity arose, we decided to adopt a 5 year old boy who has spent most of his life in foster care. He asked if he could pick his name when the adoption was finalized, so of course we allowed him to be who he believed he was (within reason, of course). He chose the name [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] [name_m]Charles[/name_m] Hopkins.

[name_m]Joseph[/name_m]’s teacher notices that he struggles with his peers in class and suggests that he might be autistic. The similarity of the names [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is initially confusing but the family soon adapt to it, nicknaming [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] “[name_f]Fifi[/name_f]”.

Year Fifteen
[name_f]April[/name_f] gives birth to another son, whom they name [name_m]Hamish[/name_m] [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m]. She later gets fired after the library she works in shuts down, and finds another job working as a secretary.

Year Sixteen
[name_f]April[/name_f] gives birth again. It’s another boy! They name him [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Clark[/name_m] “[name_u]Theo[/name_u]”. Tragedy strikes the family as [name_u]Jonah[/name_u], [name_f]April[/name_f]’s ex-husband and the father of the four eldest children dies in a hit and run car accident.

Year Seventeen
