Year 1: After a hurricane hits [name_m]Wes[/name_m]’ college buddy’s house, [name_m]Luke[/name_m] comes to stay with us for a while! They have a two year old son named [name_u]Rhys[/name_u].
Year 2: We had wanted to wait a year before having kids but after returning from our honeymoon to Disney, [name_m]Wes[/name_m] and I are shocked to discover that we’re pregnant! Our beautiful little girl arrives on [name_f]October[/name_f] 5th. We call her [name_f]Laelia[/name_f] [name_u]Harbor[/name_u] Carrigan.
Year 3: With a new baby in tow, we pack up and move to [name_f]Myrtle[/name_f] [name_m]Beach[/name_m], SC.
Year 4: Of course, just after we finish furnishing the guest bedroom, we have to refurnish it as a new baby makes his appearance! Laea is joined by baby brother [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Leopold[/name_m] Carrigan on [name_f]April[/name_f] 29th.
Year 5: We inherit some money! All of it goes to college funds and future vacations.
Year 6: On Laea’s third birthday, we discover that I’m pregnant! Our third bundle is born on [name_f]May[/name_f] 2nd. Her name is [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] [name_f]Boheme[/name_f] Carrigan.
Year 7: Once again, [name_f]Myrtle[/name_f] [name_m]Beach[/name_m] becomes too boring for us so we decide to make a big jump and move to [name_u]Paris[/name_u], [name_f]France[/name_f]!
Year 8: While the saying goes “When in [name_m]Rome[/name_m]…” we change it to “When in [name_u]Paris[/name_u] you must go to [name_m]Rome[/name_m]!” Our family takes a big vacation to [name_m]Rome[/name_m].
Year 9: Here’s another one: When in [name_m]Rome[/name_m]… you have another baby! Our second son, [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] is born on [name_u]November[/name_u] 19th.
Year 10: We had planned on waiting another year before having another but fate had different plans. [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Esme[/name_f] Carrigan joins us on Octoner 17th.
Year 11: The two babies so close in age puts a lot of stress on my and [name_m]Wes[/name_m]’ marriage and we reach a crossroad. Thankfully, with the help of a counselor, we work things out for the sake of our happiness.
Year 12: Due to the stress, we were told to wait before having any more kids. However, another surprise pregnancy shocks us both. We decide to make the necessary changes to ensure no issues happen again. And they don’t. Our fourth daughter, [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] Carrigan is born on [name_f]May[/name_f] 14th.
Year 13: To help bond with each other, [name_m]Wes[/name_m] and I decide it would be fun to share our love of travel and volunteering with the kids! Everyone joins us on our yearly trip, this time to [name_u]Brazil[/name_u]. Laea, [name_m]Felix[/name_m], and [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] help while [name_u]August[/name_u], [name_u]Hero[/name_u], and Sephie stay with locals.
Year 14: I get a pay raise at work!
Year 15: With our history of fighting behind us, [name_m]Wes[/name_m] and I have our seventh child, another boy! [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] [name_m]Jacoby[/name_m] Carrigan arrives on [name_u]March[/name_u] 1st.
Year 16: Since moving back home from [name_u]Paris[/name_u], we all really miss Europe and decide to move back for a couple years. [name_u]London[/name_u], here comes the Carrigans!
Year 17: We have our eighth and final child, another girl, on [name_u]August[/name_u] 25th. Her name is [name_f]Calista[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] Carrigan.
Year 18: Our family is featured on a TV show! It’s about large families.
Year 19: Take that back… while on vacation, [name_m]Wes[/name_m] and I find out that I’m pregnant, once again! We need better birth control. [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] Carrigan comes on [name_f]February[/name_f] 8th.
Year 20: With the new arrival, we need to remodel the house! Year 1: We don’t really want children (yet), but the apartment feels empty, so we’re getting a puppy. Her name’s [name_u]Abby[/name_u].
Year 2: A friend can’t keep her dog due to allergies, so [name_u]Abby[/name_u] get’s a playmate: 5 year old [name_m]Archer[/name_m].
Year 3: An unplanned pregnancy! We call our little accident [name_m]Justus[/name_m].
Year 4: [name_u]Baby[/name_u] [name_m]Justus[/name_m] is sick! He won’t eat and is underweight, so we take him to a hospital.
Year 5: [name_m]Justus[/name_m] is getting better and gaining weight. And he’s so cute his 2nd birthday is shown in a TV documentary about the hospital!
Year 6: This year I decide to finally catch up on what I missed in school and learn some proper french. Might be useful in future vacations.

Year 8: With [name_m]Justus[/name_m] in preschool now, I get myself a full-time-job as a secretary.

Year 11: [name_m]Justus[/name_m] is still into artistics, but can’t find a group to train with. So we start our own!
Year 12: A rough year for our marriage. [name_u]Florian[/name_u] thinks I cheated on him! But thank god, we solved our problems and stayed together.

2016: I get a new job at a nearby Italian restaurant as one of the head chefs.
2017: We have a surprise pregnancy. We go in for an ultrasound and find out that we are having twins! Two little girls. We welcome [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] Woodard and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Irene[/name_f] Woodard.

2025: A week before [name_u]Valentine[/name_u]'s fifth birthday, he is diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. This is very difficult for us, but it was relief to get the whole family tested and to find out that no one else has it.
2026: We remodel our house to add two more bedrooms because we plan to adopt in the next few years.
2027: We take the whole family on a vacation to Fiji and have a wonderful time.
2028: There is a little boy in our area in the need of adoption. With loving arms, we bring our six month old [name_m]Alasdair[/name_m] [name_m]Knox[/name_m] Woodard into our family.

2030: [name_u]Sam[/name_u] and I get in an unfortunate car crash. [name_m]Truman[/name_m] and [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] were in the back seats. Luckily, no one is seriously injured. We had to get a new car, but it was our old one anyway.

She had never married, nor had children, and had decided to leave her large home in Boulder, [name_u]Colorado[/name_u] to her only niece and the rest of her money to her nephews. After much deliberation, [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] and [name_f]Trinity[/name_f] decide to move in. The children like their new home.
  8. With a bigger home, [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] and [name_f]Trinity[/name_f] feel like they are ready to have another child. They decide that this will be the last one and it’s decided that [name_f]Trinity[/name_f] will be the one to carry it. It had taken a long time to reach that decision, but [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f]’s job in fashion magazine publishing is quite stressful and had been even more so ever since she had received a promotion a few months ago. After nine months, they have a cute little baby boy! They name him [name_m]Perseus[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] Vanhanen and call him “[name_u]Percy[/name_u]” for short; his middle name honors Aunt [name_f]Jane[/name_f].
  9. [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] make a friend in their class who grows close to the family. When they learn she is in the foster care system, [name_f]Alyssia[/name_f] and [name_f]Trinity[/name_f] decide to adopt her. Her name is [name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] [name_u]Darby[/name_u]. She’s a sweet thing who seems almost too shy at times, but knows how to dream big. All her life she wished she had parents to call her own and is beyond ecstatic when [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] and [name_f]Trinity[/name_f] ask if they can be it. She changes her name to Vanhanen during the adoption process.
  10. [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] and [name_f]Trinity[/name_f] decide to remodel their house! They’ve been putting it off, but definitely agree that it needs an update. Their children are a big help in the designing process and, by the end of the project, they place looks brand new and feels even more like home.
  11. It finally happens! [name_f]Trinity[/name_f] opens her own business - a marketing company targeted towards improving internet ads and television commercials. The kids think its boring, but [name_f]Trinity[/name_f] is doing what she loves most.
  12. Life had been going a little too good, it seems. [name_f]Trinity[/name_f]’s mom [name_f]Laura[/name_f] falls ill and, while she doesn’t particularly want to go help a woman she hasn’t seen in over a decade, she knows that if she doesn’t her mother will be by herself. She has to leave for a few months and she misses [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] and their kids for every second. Her mother passes away in her sleep; [name_f]Trinity[/name_f] does not attend the funeral and does not know if anybody did at all.
  13. A degree is keeping [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] away from a promotion to the ultimate dream job. She goes back to school to earn it, never wavering from her goals.
  14. The family goes on a much deserved vacation! They go to Thailand, just for fun, and because nobody could decide where to go so they let an internet generator pick. It’s a really fun and enlightening experience. They’re sad when they have to leave, promising that they’ll go back sometime.
  15. Can this be considered a mid-life crisis? [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] goes out and gets a tattoo of a bird on her arm. She doesn’t exactly regret it, but she does lament the fact that she didn’t get a cooler bird. The kids love seeing the bird on her arm, though, so she thinks maybe one day she’ll get another one.
  16. The family makes good on their promise to go back to Thailand. In fact, they move their! Specifically, they move to Sak Lek, a district in the Phichit province. It’s nice, though it takes time to get used to the move, and the family does their best to learn the language. They pick it up in no time.
  17. Living in Thailand is one of the greatest things to happen to their family. Being immersed in a culture unlike the one they’ve known is jarring, but in a good way. It also sparks a reconnection between [name_f]Trinity[/name_f] and her old college roommate [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] Goodwin. [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] has been looking for new experiences in life after two fruitless and failed marriages, she asks if she can make the move to go live with them. She’s moved in by the end of the year.
  18. [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] blends in right with their family. She finds living in Thailand with them is therapeutic and just what she needed to get her life on track. An affair with a local, however, ends with her pregnant. To be fair with his heritage, she adds in the Thai name Kiet, making his name [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Roman[/name_m] Kiet Goodwin. She loves him to death.
  19. After a long and happy two years, [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] cannot deny that she misses home a lot. She decides to move back to Connecticut to live with her parents. It’s a teary good-bye; they and the kids will miss her and [name_u]August[/name_u].
  20. When [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] left, the family realized that they, too missed home. To liven themselves up, [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] and [name_f]Trinity[/name_f] decide to take their kids on a surprise vacation back to [name_u]Colorado[/name_u]. They love it! Everyone has a lot of fun and drinks in their old home before happily getting on a plane back to their new one.
