24 hours to name #4

help me out! we are running out of time to name this fourth little wonder.

Middle and Last are: Mati1da T@nner

P0sey (love the playfulness, uniqueness and it goes well with our other kids names…also, a stretch but my family has a million [name_m]Joe[/name_m]'s and technically it’s derived from [name_f]Josephine[/name_f])

Teg@n (or Teag@n) — pronounced tee-g’n (been loving this name since 1999 when i first met someone with it…it’s welsh and so am i (my name is welsh, too), it’s simple and i kind of like the alliteration with our last name. someone in our life that we don’t appreciate used it right when i was suffering my first loss…but this person is very far removed from our lives at this point and i haven’t been able to shake the name after having three additional kids. that said, it seems a little less exciting than in 1999. lastly, goes well with the other kids names.)

Mabe1 (love this…but we sometimes call our first F____y [name_f]Mae[/name_f] (short for Marg@ret) and the middle name makes an alliteration — maybe not the best choice but i do adore this name. goes well with 3/4 of the other names).

thanks for your input!

[name_u]Teagan[/name_u] is a great name!

You could do [name_u]Reagan[/name_u] since it is close but doesn’t have the tie to the person you don’t like…

[name_u]Tierney[/name_u] is also name that is similar

[name_u]Ainsley[/name_u]
[name_u]Delaney[/name_u]
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u]

[name_u]Teagan[/name_u]! [name_f]Posey[/name_f] would be my second choice.

@cengel73 [name_u]Reagan[/name_u] is a great alternative for [name_u]Teagan[/name_u]!

Can’t do reagan…too many R names and don’t want to be the Duggars!

We have thought about the other four, as well, but we have cut the list down to the two (really, the top two, but i re-added Mabe1 today).

and you like the [name_f]Tea[/name_f] spelling better?

thanks!

[name_f]Posey[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_m]Tanner[/name_m] is beautiful, I say go with that one for sure.

Wouldn’t suggest [name_u]Tegan[/name_u] as it means toy in Welsh.

Sorry - I missed that you were solid on those 3!

[name_u]Teagan[/name_u] is definitely my favorite and I would spell it like that.

[name_u]Teagan[/name_u] means beautiful
[name_u]Tegan[/name_u] means fair.
I don’t see toy as the meaning. Although I don’t think [name_m]Toy[/name_m] is a horrible meaning. [name_f]My[/name_f] husbands name means Crooked Nose and he could care less…

@cengel73 I’m an actual Welsh speaker, just fyi.

I would spell it [name_u]Teagan[/name_u], as well (I didn’t notice you had it as [name_u]Tegan[/name_u]).

[name_f]Posey[/name_f] would be my pick. I also love [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], but must be some reason it’s not a first name choice

R.u.b.y {and} M.a.b.e.l is perfect :).

i think [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] is streaks ahead of the other. just beautiful.

i thought i had heard that a few years ago. the way it’s portrayed here in the US is totally different. i am sure it’s just someone making things up over here. how do you pronounce it? and does it make it different if it’s spelled tea?

thanks!

thanks …what about the M/M alliteration? too much?

we do, too. but, we like tilly as a nickname for it and with our last name, it’s a little silly.

I adore [name_f]Posey[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]. Beautiful, spunky, gentle vintage choice. That is my personal favourite.
