[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone! I’ve been reading Nameberry for a long time though this is my 1st post And I’ve had [name_f]Pam[/name_f] and [name_f]Linda[/name_f]'s “Beyond [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] and [name_m]Jason[/name_m]” since I was 8, so long time name lover!
I’m pregnant with our 2nd boy and stuck with names! Our 1st was easy, though not a first name that had been on my list forever (Ezr@ H3nry). We love it and it fits him perfectly With this guy, we’re looking for a name that starts with “S” and a name that starts with “R” or “E” to name after relatives. We’re open to creative ways of honoring these people too (meanings, qualities, etc…) but the meanings aren’t all that helpful (lily, and compassionate friend). I’ve already searched by things like caring, supportive, etc… but these are hard to generate with pregnancy brain and you all are so creative I thought I’d turn to you! Oh and we’d like something that sounds “right” on a Jewish kid, which for us can be many things (Hebrew, biblical, traditionally used in the community…), but basically no [name_m]Seamus[/name_m] or [name_m]Sean[/name_m]
Right now we’re liking:
[name_m]Gideon[/name_m] [name_m]Milo[/name_m] - my favorite, by the husband doesn’t like [name_m]Milo[/name_m], he thinks it’s too artsy/quirky. Anyone have positive things to say about [name_m]Milo[/name_m] to help him out? [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] works for our “S” relative by a stretch, but it’s our favorite so far!
[name_m]Gideon[/name_m] [name_u]Elias[/name_u]
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m] - works for our “s” relative but too popular among our friends, we know 2 our 1st son’s age. A possible middle?
[name_m]Simon[/name_m] [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] - We liked before I was pregnant but our top girl name is the feminization of [name_m]Simon[/name_m] and I’m just not sure I’m ready to part with this yet in case we have a girl next…
[name_m]Ronan[/name_m]/Ronen - probably as a middle, it’s just feeling low energy to me right now but I want to like it! Maybe with the right first name
Any other “S” or “R/E” names we haven’t thought of? Or name combos that seem to go with our style that we could try to creatively make work through meaning/qualities?
Thanks so much in advance!!
