We agreed on our first boy’s and first girl’s names while we were still dating. They were both honor names, his grandfather and my grandmother. We were able to agree on a second boy’s name but it looks like baby #3 is a girl so we’re back to the drawing board.
I love vintage names, like ones that were popular in the early 1900’s. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband loves 80’s names because they are familiar and he grew up hearing them constantly.
Our son is [name_m]Carl[/name_m] and our daughter is [name_f]Esther[/name_f] so I would love to find a name that doesn’t sound weird with them. Our last name is a presidential name that starts with K.
Edit: I’m so sorry, I just realised you said that your baby is a girl Please forgive me, I was half awake I’ll leave the boy names up in case someone else in the future is looking at this for inspo
Your name choice is amazing! I actually had a rabbit named [name_f]Esther[/name_f]! So it’s a shame I’ll never be able to use it! For girl names I love the name [name_u]Holly[/name_u]! But that name is more associated with [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] babies and might not fit your theme or 1900s (it goes more with your husbands name) other suggestions are the name [name_f]Iris[/name_f] ([name_f]Esther[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f] seem so cute to me), [name_f]Paula[/name_f] (It more 1900s but would fit your husbands ironically) and [name_f]Jane[/name_f]! I thought the name [name_f]Carol[/name_f] to! But it seems so close to [name_m]Carl[/name_m], and the name [name_f]Karen[/name_f]! But if your from the U.S that might not be the best options
Mabel, [name_f]Astoria[/name_f], [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], or [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] may be a good compromise! Or maybe do a 80s name for the first and a classic for the second (or vice versa). [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps and congradulations xx
We finally came to a decision! Thank you all for your help.
Thanks to a suggestion from my brother and his wife, we agreed on [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] nn [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]. It fit my early 1900’s and my husband liked that it was familiar but a little bit fantasy sounding.
