Background: Gertrude and Silence are my top 2, but I’m getting a Weird Sisters vibe, so obviously I need a 3rd name to complete the set. I’ve got a few ideas myself (which I’ll probably do a poll on at some point), but I thought it’d be interesting to see what other people come up with. There are no limits and weird is welcome! Thanks in advance!
I also thought of [name_f]Prudence[/name_f], but it’s almost like a combination of the sounds of the other two.
I always think of [name_f]Gertrude[/name_f] and [name_f]Mildred[/name_f] together. [name_f]Gertrude[/name_f], [name_f]Silence[/name_f] and [name_f]Mildred[/name_f].
Originally I wasn’t either. But I just recently finished reading The Terror and the character ‘Lady Silence’ won me over. Still, I think my husband agrees with you!
[name_f]Gertrude[/name_f] and [name_f]Silence[/name_f] give me old, turn-of-the-century vibes, of course, so here are others like that that come to mind:
[name_f]Imogene[/name_f]
[name_f]Agatha[/name_f]
[name_f]Eugenie[/name_f]
[name_f]Minerva[/name_f]
[name_f]Letitia[/name_f]
[name_f]Irene[/name_f]
Marjorie/Margery
[name_f]Hester[/name_f]
[name_f]Blanche[/name_f]
[name_f]Ethel[/name_f]
[name_f]Muriel[/name_f]
[name_f]Lavinia[/name_f]
[name_f]Mildred[/name_f]
[name_f]Prudence[/name_f] … I think because it uses the sounds from each of these names.
[name_f]Silence[/name_f] to me is a really anti feminist “virtue” name … Makes me think of people who think women should be silent! I think it is possibly the most off-putting name I’ve seen (really sorry if this offends, but that is the vibe I get).
