I love [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Aurelian[/name_m], [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_u]Florian[/name_u], and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_u]Oberon[/name_u] (although I would spell it [name_u]Auberon[/name_u] personally)
I love [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_u]Taliesin[/name_u], [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Maximilian[/name_m], [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Silvester[/name_m] (prefer this spelling), [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Aurelian[/name_m] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_u]Florian[/name_u] – in that order, although all are fantastic!
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_u]Taliesin[/name_u] (which I pronounce as three syllables), and I think its slightly elfin, ethereal feel fits beautifully with simple, solid [name_u]Jude[/name_u].
[name_m]Silvester[/name_m] works well for similar reasons, and I agree that the beautiful natural meaning combined with the “silver” imagery gives off a lovely, shimmery, magical feel.
[name_m]Maximilian[/name_m] is a wonderfully regal and robust name, and I really like its length and pomp next to [name_u]Jude[/name_u]'s brevity.
The slightly flowery [name_m]Aurelian[/name_m] and [name_u]Florian[/name_u] also balance sleek [name_u]Jude[/name_u] really well, and both are beautiful names.
So interesting to see the results so far! [name_u]Jude[/name_u] Corentyn has been my frontrunner for a while, considering mine and my other half’s Cornish heritage … Also one of the only names from this list my OH will entertain. They’re “willing to be convinced” by your responses, though!
@katinka, your sentiments re [name_m]Silvester[/name_m] echo mine … OH immediately thinks [name_m]Sylvester[/name_m] Stallone, but I think the [name_m]Silvester[/name_m] spelling moves away from that imagery nicely. Also happy to see some love for [name_u]Taliesin[/name_u]. A longtime love of mine, but possibly to out there for my OH’s tastes.
I really like [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Silvester[/name_m]/[name_m]Sylvester[/name_m]! It’s very handsome. [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Maximilian[/name_m] is amazing. My favorite combination from your list. [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_u]Florian[/name_u] is very charming too.
[name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Aurelian[/name_m] is perfect. I really like [name_u]Taliesin[/name_u], Aneirin, [name_u]Oberon[/name_u] & [name_u]Florian[/name_u] too, however, with [name_u]Jude[/name_u] as first, [name_m]Aurelian[/name_m] definitely flows, looks and sounds best.
