[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone, I have a c section scheduled in three weeks and I am really feeling the naming pressure. This is baby number 3 and our second boy. My husband and I are not afraid of bold or out there names. Our daughter is Ke$$lyn and our son is [name_m]Gatsby[/name_m]. We both work with children so naming tends to be pretty difficult for us, especially boys. We had somewhat settled on [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] but I’m struggling with that as I know it has become popular. Names on my list that have not been vetoed are [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u], [name_u]Keaton[/name_u], [name_m]Greyson[/name_m], and [name_m]Beckett[/name_m]. My husband likes [name_m]Preston[/name_m], [name_m]Trevor[/name_m] and [name_u]Ashton[/name_u]. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
I do like [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]. If you really like the name I wouldn’t be too concerned with popularity. As is often pointed out, we have so many more names that we choose from than we used to. We’ve come a log way from the days of [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] and [name_m]Jason[/name_m] and even choosing a popular name now doesn’t necessarily mean he will have another [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] in his class at school.
[name_m]Gonzo[/name_m], [name_m]Otto[/name_m], [name_m]Faxon[/name_m], Wilby
I love [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u], but [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] is also a wonderful name, and I think it meshes really nicely with [name_m]Gatsby[/name_m].
My favs are [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u], [name_m]Preston[/name_m], and [name_m]Beckett[/name_m].
I like [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u], but if you want a less popular name with a similar vibe, try [name_m]Ramsey[/name_m]. It’s just outside the US top 1000 list. More ideas:
[name_u]Dallas[/name_u]
[name_u]Indigo[/name_u]
[name_m]Julius[/name_m]
[name_m]Lincoln[/name_m]
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u]
[name_m]Pierce[/name_m]
[name_m]Ramsey[/name_m]
[name_u]Tobin[/name_u] ([name_u]Toby[/name_u])
[name_m]Troy[/name_m]
[name_m]Wiley[/name_m]
Thanks everyone! I’m feeling better about our choices.
