3 weeks until baby girl and no name!

We are having a hard time agreeing on a name for our baby girl & I’m about to lose my mind! We have a short list but maybe some 3rd party help will give perspective on what we already have or a name we’ve missed.
He would like to use his mom’s middle name for her middle name which I don’t love but could concede on, [name]Ann[/name], though I prefer the [name]Anais[/name] version (maybe there are others that would still give a nod to mom without being so ‘plain’ for lack of a better word).
I love the idea of a solid first name that lends itself to a cute sassy nickname while she’s young. Our last name ends in

  • ie so prefer to steer clear of names that end in the -ee sound.

Big brothers are [name]Kellen[/name] and [name]Torin[/name], though we don’t necessarily care about a ‘sib set match’, we do like names that are solid but not super mainstream.

[name]Harlow[/name] (nn [name]Harly[/name] or [name]Lola[/name]; my favorite because it has a vintage flair yet it’s modern, everyone can agree on [name]Lola[/name] but
husband not a fan–yet)

[name]Rowan[/name] (not sure on nn options here besides [name]Ro[/name] and while we can agree on this name and it goes great with boys
names it feels lackluster, but perhaps it’s because we’ve discussed it to death!)

[name]Emerson[/name] (do not like ‘[name]Em[/name]’ so not sure this name a great idea though I like [name]Emme[/name] or [name]Emery[/name] fine)

[name]Charlotte[/name] (nn [name]Lola[/name]. Husband likes the more traditional names which I typically don’t, and while I like it, I think [name]Charlotte[/name]
will feel a little bit ‘dated’ for me and I can’t agree to [name]Charlie[/name] as a nn thanks to a young family dog)

From your list my favorite is [name]Harlow[/name] but I’m not a fan of [name]Lola[/name] as a nickname…
I think [name]Harlow[/name] [name]Ann[/name] sounds really nice.

I love [name]Harlow[/name] it sounds nice

I think [name]Harlow[/name] or [name]Charlotte[/name] are your best options. With the older two boys named [name]Kellen[/name] and [name]Torin[/name] (which I love, btw!) I have a hard time figuring out which is the girl in a sibset of say, [name]Kellen[/name], [name]Torin[/name], and [name]Rowan[/name].

[name]Harlow[/name] [name]Ann[/name] is beautiful. Maybe [name]Harlow[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] as a ‘nod’ to mom without using plain old [name]Ann[/name]?

I agree that [name]Harlow[/name] or [name]Charlotte[/name] would work best with your boys’ names. [name]Emerson[/name] and [name]Rowan[/name] are too masculine, which would lead one to think you had three boys. And I also agree that both [name]Harlow[/name] [name]Ann[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Ann[/name] are lovely. Especially with a name like [name]Harlow[/name], I would go for a more traditional MN.

Definately [name]Harlow[/name], no nn. Good luck!

Definitely [name]Charlotte[/name] nn [name]Lola[/name]! It’s such a sweet choice, and I don’t think [name]Charlotte[/name] could ever be dated–it’s such a timeless, classic choice! I love the feminine sweetness of [name]Charlotte[/name] next to the rough-and-tumble, boyish feel of her brothers’ names.

Good luck!

I like [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Ann[/name]… I don’t think it’s too plain, but that’s just my opinion. Good luck!

I’m a [name]Charlotte[/name] fan! I love [name]Lola[/name] as a nickname for [name]Charlotte[/name] because [name]Lola[/name] by itself feels a bit informal! [name]Penelope[/name] sometimes gets [name]Lola[/name] as a nickname if that appeals to you.

I would, as others have said, avoid using [name]Rowan[/name] since it is much more popular for boys and would cause confusion with others thinking you have three sons!

[name]Harlow[/name] is one letter away from harlot which kind of makes me wary of teasing opportunities!!

I agree with everyone else; [name]Harlow[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name] sound the best with your boys names. I prefer [name]Harlow[/name], though.

For alternat middles:
I listed possible alternate spellings so that the name actually had “ann” in some of these, but i’m aware they’re spelled ‘wrong’

[name]Annabel[/name]
[name]Anya[/name]
[name]Annika[/name]
[name]Arianna[/name]
Adriann (alternate spelling of [name]Adrianne[/name]/[name]Adrianna[/name] to honor [name]MIL[/name])
[name]Annelise[/name]
[name]Anniston[/name]
[name]Breann[/name]
[name]Georgeanne[/name] or [name]Georgeanna[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] (might appeal to hubby traditional tastes)
[name]Lilyanne[/name] or [name]Lilyana[/name]
[name]Megan[/name]
[name]Oceanne[/name]
[name]Savannah[/name]
[name]Vivianne[/name]

The only one I like is [name]Charlotte[/name]

I like [name]Charlotte[/name] best, with the nickname [name]Lola[/name]. I really don’t think [name]Ann[/name] is too plain for a middle name. [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Ann[/name] sounds great. If you want something less plain, [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Annabel[/name]. [name]Charlotte[/name] is not the kind of name that sounds dated - it is too classic - it just fluctuates in popularity. and right now, it’s up.

I agree with that poster that said it would be hard to know which one is the girl in sibset of [name]Kellen[/name], [name]Torin[/name] and [name]Rowan[/name], the same with [name]Emerson[/name] too - I think that’s more masculine sounding than [name]Rowan[/name] but [name]Rowan[/name] is still very much a boy’s name to me.

[name]Harlow[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name] would get my vote, and I love the nickname [name]Lola[/name]. [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] and [name]Harlow[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] would be adorable!

I think [name]Harlow[/name] would fit in really with your boys. I love the idea of [name]Harlow[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] that someone else suggested.

[name]Charlotte[/name]! [name]Lottie[/name] is a cute nickname too.
Best wishes!

I think [name]Kellen[/name] and [name]Torin[/name] go very well with [name]Harlow[/name].

Also, [name]Harlow[/name] [name]Ann[/name] is a very cute, sweet name.

Definitely [name]Charlotte[/name]!

I like [name]Charlotte[/name], you could use [name]Charla[/name] (pronounced [name]Shar[/name]-la) instead of [name]Charlie[/name]

What about [name]Emery[/name]? oh, just saw your no -ee sounds, [name]Ember[/name]?

[name]Madeline[/name]?

Thank you!
I still go back to [name]Harlow[/name] and ironically it’s the one name on my list where I think [name]Ann[/name] gives it a feminine traditional feel without sounding plain.
My husband always go back to [name]Charlotte[/name] which I agree is a pretty I just don’t know that I love it; I also know that she would always be called something other than [name]Charlotte[/name] (despite my protests about being named after Papa’s dog I’m certain she’d be a mix of [name]Charlie[/name], [name]Lottie[/name] and [name]Lola[/name]~ and our moms aren’t hot on the name which adds to my confusion~ never thought a baby girls name would be so difficult to get right!)
I know it’s a debate on this site but I do like some traditionally male name/surnames for girls but hadn’t thought of [name]Rowan[/name] & [name]Emerson[/name] within the sibset as being confused as a 3rd brother so that helps narrow the list!

[name]How[/name] about [name]Anona[/name]? Has the ‘An’ part, and nn [name]Nona[/name] iso [name]Lola[/name], which i find very sweet! [name]Just[/name] an idea, good luck deciding!
