35 weeks pregnant & nothing feels right!

I am having the hardest time naming this little dude! Nothing has that spark, with our other children there was definitely an “[name_m]AH[/name_m] HA” moment, and I just haven’t felt that this go around. In fact, our third baby was named before she was conceived lol!

Siblings are:
[name_f]Faith[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]
[name_m]Clayton[/name_m] Amza {Both family names and Amza is pronounced Am-[name_f]ZEE[/name_f]}
[name_f]Anniston[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]

So far I like these, and they feel close, but not quite there. I do not like traditional names, even though our first two are traditional.

[name_m]Archer[/name_m] -cannot stand the thought of him inevitably being called [name_m]Archie[/name_m].
[name_u]Oakley[/name_u] -feminine? and sounds like “ugly” in my head.
[name_u]Everett[/name_u] -no nickname
[name_m]Callen[/name_m] -my Husband is [name_m]Clay[/name_m] [name_m]Allen[/name_m] so this the perfect combo but it sounds fem to me.
[name_u]Sutton[/name_u] -again, feminine to ME, it’s hubby’s fave.

I need major help, I’m getting so frustrated & wish I could stop being so picky. It’s our last baby and I guess just a really big deal to me. Water names are a plus, as we are having our 2nd home water birth <3

I like [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] the best of your choices. [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] is neither masculine nor feminine to me.

Waterish names:

[name_u]Bay[/name_u]
[name_u]Brook[/name_u]
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m]
[name_m]Clifford[/name_m]
[name_u]Douglas[/name_u]
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u]
[name_m]Ford[/name_m]
[name_u]Hudson[/name_u]
[name_u]Jordan[/name_u]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u]
[name_u]Murray[/name_u]
[name_u]River[/name_u]

[name_u]Everett[/name_u] has the nickname “[name_m]Rhett[/name_m].” I think “[name_u]Ever[/name_u]” works too, actually. It’s my favorite from your list!

I love [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] and [name_u]Everett[/name_u] on your list! Other possibilities…

[name_m]Gable[/name_m]
[name_m]Merrick[/name_m]
[name_m]Jenson[/name_m]
[name_m]Soren[/name_m]
[name_m]Crosby[/name_m]
[name_m]Slater[/name_m]

I equally love all of your existing names!

Some name suggestions are;

[name_u]Arden[/name_u]
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m]
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u]
[name_m]Arrow[/name_m]
[name_m]Boden[/name_m]/[name_m]Bodhi[/name_m]
[name_u]Carter[/name_u]
[name_m]Cormac[/name_m]
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m]
[name_u]Delaney[/name_u]
[name_u]Flynn[/name_u]
[name_u]Hudson[/name_u]
[name_m]Landon[/name_m]
Leondre
[name_u]Presley[/name_u]
[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u]
[name_u]Shea[/name_u]
[name_u]Tai[/name_u]

I like [name_m]Callen[/name_m] and [name_u]Everett[/name_u] from your boys list. Others:

[name_m]Soren[/name_m]
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u]
[name_m]Lowell[/name_m]
[name_m]Nolan[/name_m]
[name_u]Tobin[/name_u] nn. [name_u]Toby[/name_u]
[name_u]Fallon[/name_u]

Hmmm. What about [name_m]Stellan[/name_m]? It’s like [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] and [name_m]Callen[/name_m] but isn’t too stuffy or feminine. [name_m]Callum[/name_m] is another direction you could go too, but [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] feels more fresh. [name_m]Adler[/name_m] has been suggested a lot recently, which could be a better option than [name_m]Archer[/name_m].

Here are some names that seem similar in style to your current picks. Sorry for the repeats:

[name_m]Archer[/name_m] - would [name_m]Fletcher[/name_m] work? Or [name_m]Arrow[/name_m]? [name_m]Asher[/name_m]? [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]? [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] (if you don’t mind the association)? [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]?
[name_u]Oakley[/name_u] - [name_m]Birch[/name_m]? [name_u]Linden[/name_u]? [name_m]Forrest[/name_m]? [name_u]Ashton[/name_u]? [name_m]Elwood[/name_m]? [name_m]Radley[/name_m]?
[name_u]Everett[/name_u] - [name_m]Rhett[/name_m] as a nn. [name_m]Bennett[/name_m]? [name_u]Emmett[/name_u]? [name_m]Beckett[/name_m]? [name_m]Severus[/name_m]/[name_m]Severin[/name_m]?
[name_m]Callen[/name_m] - [name_m]Callum[/name_m]/[name_m]Calum[/name_m]? Calden? [name_u]Carson[/name_u]?
[name_u]Sutton[/name_u] - [name_m]Stanton[/name_m]? [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]? [name_u]Hudson[/name_u]? [name_m]Aston[/name_m]? Caxton?

Water names - [name_m]Seaborn[/name_m], [name_m]Seaton[/name_m], [name_m]Brooks[/name_m], [name_u]Harbor[/name_u], [name_u]Calder[/name_u], [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m]

[name_f]Virtue[/name_f] names - [name_m]Noble[/name_m], [name_u]Merritt[/name_u]

Good luck, and congratulations!

I like [name_m]Callen[/name_m], esp because it resembles your husbands name so much. I always found first names that resemble the first and middle name of a parent so interesting! But if you don’t like [name_m]Callen[/name_m], maybe [name_m]Callum[/name_m]?

Ooh I like [name_u]Sutton[/name_u]. What about [name_m]Kenn[/name_m] (Means bright water) or [name_u]Brighton[/name_u].

Could [name_m]Arrow[/name_m] be an alternative to [name_m]Archer[/name_m]? Or what about [name_m]Axel[/name_m]?
[name_u]Oak[/name_u] as an alternative to [name_u]Oakley[/name_u]? It does seem a bit feminine to me as well, but [name_u]Oak[/name_u] is strong and could go nicely with a middle name included. Has an earthy 1 syllable vibe like your husbands name as well.
[name_u]Everett[/name_u]… as someone else mentioned, [name_m]Rhett[/name_m] is a perfect nickname, but do you need a nickname? [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] doesn’t have a nickname and you don’t like the nickname for [name_m]Archer[/name_m]?
[name_m]Callen[/name_m]- you could go with [name_m]Callum[/name_m] if you’re looking for something a little more masculine. I think [name_m]Callen[/name_m] is maybe a bit too close to [name_m]Clayton[/name_m]. They both begin and end with the same letter. Have you considered [name_m]Alban[/name_m] or [name_u]Alton[/name_u] as alternatives to [name_m]Allen[/name_m]?
Personally don’t like [name_u]Sutton[/name_u], it looks a bit feminine written to me but doesn’t sound feminine. [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] is another surname starting with an “s” and ending in a “n”

I also vote [name_u]Sutton[/name_u]. It echoes your son [name_m]Clayton[/name_m]'s name. [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] [name_u]Arden[/name_u]. Of course, I don’t know your last name.
Your names [name_f]Faith[/name_f] and [name_m]Clayton[/name_m] are traditional names. [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] fits in nicely without being too common. I also like [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u].
But I sympathize. There’s a name my husband really likes, but I just can’t imagine a son with that name (it’s [name_u]Jensen[/name_u])

I think i’d nix [name_m]Archer[/name_m] and [name_m]Callen[/name_m]. You already have a kiddo with A and one with C. It really shouldn’t be a deciding factor but having married a fellow A it’s nice to be able to just write our daughters f initial on things to designate it as hers. (Also you clearly are concerned about [name_m]Archie[/name_m] - which is fairly unavoidable I think, and [name_m]Callen[/name_m] being to fem… though [name_m]Callen[/name_m] could be an awesome mn!)

I don’t think that either [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] or [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] are to fem but also think that you can probably find better on the list of name pp’s have already put out there.

I love [name_u]Everett[/name_u] (nn [name_u]Ever[/name_u] or Rett?). Could also go with [name_u]Everest[/name_u].

I also like these water names:
[name_u]Hudson[/name_u], [name_u]Kai[/name_u], [name_u]Nile[/name_u], [name_m]Fintan[/name_m], [name_m]Moses[/name_m], [name_u]Wade[/name_u]

My friend has a son names callum, which I think sounds very similar to [name_m]Callen[/name_m] which I think is adorable! They almost always call him “[name_u]Cal[/name_u]” and it’s so cute
