I need help! Hubby and I originally agreed on [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Araminta[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] for our baby girl due [name_u]June[/name_u] 4th. Which I do think is lovely! But it just doesn’t feel like her name. [name_f]Iris[/name_f] has been the only name hubby and I have agreed on this whole pregnancy! We already told family the name and they have started calling her [name_f]Iris[/name_f], even our 3 year old son is calling her [name_f]Iris[/name_f]. It was so easy naming our son and his name felt right from the beginning but this pregnancy nothing has clicked and I’m feeling super lost. Also our last name is Gonzalez. Does [name_f]Iris[/name_f] Gonzalez sound too sing songy/ rhymey? DH also told me that he doesn’t really like [name_f]Araminta[/name_f] and would prefer if her name was just [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].
I have recently really fallen for the name [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] and that would be my first choice. But sadly DH doesn’t like it. I also like [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or a longer version of [name_f]Rose[/name_f] as her first name.
DH is done discussing names and has told me that I can name her whatever I want. I really want us to both love the name like we do with our son, but idk if that’s possible.
I would love to have a couple of names to take with us to the hospital but with DH done discussing names idk what to do…
I also say wait till your baby is here and see what name fits. Ask your husband to help you make a list one last time and then relax and enjoy the last few weeks of being a family of three. Then look at the list when she is here and hopefully things will fall into place
Like your husband said, I think you can name her whatever you want. He’ll come around. I really like [name_f]Iris[/name_f] but if it doesn’t feel right maybe wait until she’s born and figure out what suits her. You may be surprised!
[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] is okay but I much prefer [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Rose[/name_f] too.
I’d also suggest [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Iris[/name_f] sounds fine with your last name. Personally I prefer only one floral name in a combination, so if it were me, I’d go with either [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Araminta[/name_f] or [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] and drop the [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] something clicks with you when you meet her, if not before! Good luck!
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] is a beautiful name, and I think it’s really nice with your last name.
I think [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Araminta[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is very pretty. I’m not a huge fan of just [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], as it’s slightly too floral for me and I think [name_f]Rose[/name_f] on its own is too much of a filler.
I really, really love [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] though, I think it’s stunning.
I agree that your best option will probably be waiting until she is born! Hopefully you’ll look at her and just know which one suits her best. Good luck!!

I can’t say I like [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] as much; for me, [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is quite overdone in the middle spot on its own but is lovely with another name. Plus, as a previous poster said, two floral names together could be a bit much. I wouldn’t strike it off your list just yet; take it to the hospital along with [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (and any other [name_f]Rose[/name_f] alternatives you like) and anything else you love. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t personally go with [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] if your partner doesn’t love it, even if he’s saying you can call the baby whatever you want. Would he prefer [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] over [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Araminta[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]? I forgot to mention that [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a family name tradition on my moms side so it will be in her name somewhere… I agree that [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is very floral and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] does feel like a filler middle on its own.
