I’m about to be 37 weeks pregnant and still haven’t decided on a name so it’s starting to stress me out.
I really love the name [name_f]Iris[/name_f], I’m pretty set on that being her first name, but I can not for the life of me figure out a middle name. I’m trying to compile a huge list to narrow down, any suggestions? I somewhat lean toward names that end in A or E, but I’m open to anything (though I’m not too fond of names from books like the Hunger Games series or Game of Thrones series).
So far I have: [name_f]Elisa[/name_f], [name_f]Marie[/name_f], [name_f]Jade[/name_f], [name_f]Anamarie[/name_f], [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f], [name_f]Amara[/name_f], [name_f]Ava[/name_f], [name_u]Rae[/name_u], [name_f]Lila[/name_f].
My other name option is [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], I think that name is perfect, but I don’t think my hubby would be too fond of it. I know he likes [name_f]Iris[/name_f].
I really like [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. I think when people use more uncommon names as firsts, it’s kind of nice to but a more regular, dare I say “filler” name in the
middle. And [name_f]Marie[/name_f] is just so darn pretty! I also love [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] if that’s a contender

I also prefer [name_f]Iris[/name_f] to [name_u]Morgan[/name_u], I happen to absolutely love that song by the Goo Goo Dolls. I just really love the combination of [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], but I’d much rather find something to work with [name_f]Iris[/name_f].
I added [name_f]Alexa[/name_f], [name_f]Eveline[/name_f], and a few others I can’t name off the top of my head. Since her dad’s last name is longer, I think I like the shorter names, it also ends in an ‘A’ so I like the way middle names ending in an A go along with it.
Thank you all for the suggestions :] I feel a little better getting a longer list together now. I’m starting to feel some pre labor symptoms, I just want her to hold out until she’s named!

I would probably stay away from color or nature names with [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and i really love the idea of a longer mn with such a short fn.

I think [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is an absolutely perfect name. I was going to suggest [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] anyway, and when I saw you liked it with [name_u]Morgan[/name_u], I thought it was just so meant to be! [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is on my list actually as second and third middle names to [name_f]Virginia[/name_f], so I think it’s beautiful.
I’m really leaning toward [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. My second mom (thats what I call her, love her to pieces), her oldest child passed away when she was just 9 days old, her name was [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. She had a really complicated pregnancy, [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] was born with a cleft lip and a lot of other problems, they knew she wouldn’t survive. She was actually born on the 17th of [name_u]November[/name_u], and passed away on the 26th of [name_u]November[/name_u], which also happens to be my due date. I think it would be a beautiful way to honor them both.
I’m just not sure hubby will love the name [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] too much, I’ll explain the story to him and see if I can talk him into it.
Today is my deadline, though! It’s the last day I’ll look for her middle name then I’ll show him and see if we can start narrowing it down. He didn’t wanna help look for a name and pretty much left it to me to compile the list, it’s just hard to do by myself! I’ll post the finished list on here later tonight and see if anyone has anymore input on what they like best :]
