[name]Hi[/name] All!
I would love a fresh outlook and some new suggestions for our new little one. We don’t know the gender but are pretty set on a boy’s name. It’s finding the perfect girl name that is giving us trouble.
We have two sons already-[name]Conrad[/name] [name]Alec[/name] and [name]Nolan[/name] [name]Maurice[/name]. The boys both have middle names to honor their grandpa/great-grandpa. If we have a boy we are 98% sure his name will be [name]Beckett[/name] [name]David[/name]. [name]David[/name] after another grandpa. So…[name]Conrad[/name], [name]Nolan[/name] & [name]Beckett[/name]. Other names that we considered were [name]Mathias[/name], [name]Hendrik[/name], [name]Everett[/name], [name]Magnus[/name], [name]Arthur[/name] and [name]Atticus[/name]. Dad’s given name is [name]Buck[/name] [name]Henry[/name]…so I liked that [name]Beckett[/name] uses some of his same letters…and [name]Hendrik[/name] was a top contender for awhile because we could’ve called him [name]Henry[/name].
Our last name sounds like castle.
Onto girls names. I have a harder time with these because so many girls names sound the same, or have nicknames that sound the same. At the beginning of my naming voyage I loved loved loved [name]Harper[/name]. Due to rising popularity, especially in our state, I will not use it. Other names that have been removed from our list due to popularity or knowing babies of the same name are: [name]Everly[/name], [name]Cambria[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Hazel[/name], [name]Viola[/name], [name]Briar[/name], [name]Luna[/name], [name]Willow[/name] and [name]Winter[/name]. My criteria are to be uncommon yet easy to pronounce that go with [name]Conrad[/name] and [name]Nolan[/name]. I like some names that I had to take off my list because I think people would have a hard time pronouncing them, or knowing which syllables to stress. Here are those names: [name]Helena[/name], [name]Sylvana[/name], [name]Hermione[/name], Marigny and [name]Honora[/name]/[name]Annora[/name]. Also, since our last name sounds like a noun we’d like to stay away from names that sound like adjectives.
Phew, this is getting long! The middle name(s) will most likely be [name]Meryl[/name] [name]Jane[/name], but [name]Sheryl[/name], [name]Mary[/name] and [name]Jane[/name] could also be incorporated in the name in other ways which could possibly switch it up.
Also, it’s important to me that we don’t use repeating first initials, and I’d like to stay away from names that end the same way as [name]Conrad[/name] and [name]Nolan[/name].
Here are the names that are still on our list: [name]Juniper[/name] (my favorite), [name]Albany[/name] (hubby’s favorite), [name]Matilda[/name] (I really like, him not so much) and [name]Penelope[/name] (we’re both so-so with this one, but I think popularity might be rising to quickly for my likes). I also considered [name]Meryl[/name] for a first name but am not so fond of the repeating ending sounds of [name]Meryl[/name] Castle.
I look forward (very much!!) to everyone’s suggestions
