3rd baby name - Isabel or Charlotte?

Thoughts on [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] vs [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] for a 3rd baby name? We are looking for something Classic and pretty but not too trendy right now. I realize both are popular names but neither is too over done in our area…at least not yet.

This baby would be joining siblings [name_m]Connor[/name_m] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f]. A potential middle name would be [name_f]Anna[/name_f].

[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Anna[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Anna[/name_f]

Thoughts?

I love [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Anna[/name_f] with [name_m]Connor[/name_m] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f]. Although the flow feels a bit eh ([name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] is lovely) I love it a ton more than [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] goes better with [name_u]Conner[/name_u] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f]. Not sure I like the flow of [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Anna[/name_f]. Maybe if u add a second mn

[name_u]Love[/name_u] both names. I’ll vote for [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] because a) I think [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Anna[/name_f] flows slightly better than [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Anna[/name_f], and b) just since you already have a C, this way they’ll all have distinct initials. Good luck!

[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Anna[/name_f] 1000%

I love both names. However, I think [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is a better “match” with [name_f]Eve[/name_f] (it’s feminine but not too frilly like [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]). Shared initials between siblings is not ideal but since you don’t seem to care about that issue, I’m going to choose [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f].

I adore both [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], slightly preferring [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], so my vote goes to [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]. I think they both work well with [name_m]Connor[/name_m] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f].

I’m on team [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] as well. It goes better with [name_m]Connor[/name_m] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f]. I’m not sure I’m on board with [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Anna[/name_f] but it’s also not the worst combo I’ve heard either. Have you considered [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Annalee[/name_f]?

Definitely [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Anna[/name_f]

[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Anna[/name_f] is really pretty.

I prefer [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] as a name, but I like [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] better in this sibset!

I like [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is just so much prettier than [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]. And remember, with [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] there’s also [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Isabella[/name_f], [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] etc. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]'s name will always be spelled correctly. Plus, her nickname options are better. [name_u]Izzy[/name_u] or Belly vs. [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], [name_f]Char[/name_f] or [name_f]Lottie[/name_f].

Thank you all so much for your input. Seems [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] is the clear winner for now. We are considering [name_f]Anna[/name_f] for a middle name as it is my great-grandmothers name and has some family meaning for us. I can see how [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Anna[/name_f] doesn’t flow as nicely as I’d like…but I still think we would use it for family reasons.

Out of curiosity, which name sounds more sophisticated for an adult? [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] or [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]? I have an association with [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] sounding too much like a little girls name…and while it would be beautiful while she is little, I’m not sure I will love it when she is 22 and above. [name_m]Just[/name_m] thinking out loud.

I do like the nickname [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] for [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] so that is swaying me a bit

For [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] we are considering the nickname [name_u]Isa[/name_u]

I like the sound of [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Anna[/name_f] more than [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Anna[/name_f].I think [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Anna[/name_f] is interesting yet classic while [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Anna[/name_f] would be too common.

I love both [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] (although I prefer the [name_m]French[/name_m] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]) and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], but I would do [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] with [name_m]Connor[/name_m] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f], just to avoid the repeated initials. I don’t mind alliteration sometimes, but I’m not a huge fan of [name_m]Connor[/name_m] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] together, for some reason? So even if it didn’t bother you, it probably would me. I think [name_m]Connor[/name_m], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], and [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] are gorgeous together. I like that they each have their own distinctive syllable count, too ([name_m]Connor[/name_m]: 2, [name_f]Eve[/name_f]: 1, [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]: three). I think I prefer [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Anna[/name_f] to [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Anna[/name_f], but I like [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Anna[/name_f] best in general (as a sibling to [name_m]Connor[/name_m] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f], and as an individual name).
