Good News! I have all the main characters named along with names for their siblings and parents. Basically, what I’m wanting here is a name check. Trying to suss out your family trees but there’s only a couple of names that strikes me as off. I’d see [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] as only really suiting a teen or younger, and I find [name_u]Hilary[/name_u] rather dated - I wouldn’t expect someone named [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m] (a fairly dated nickname in itself) to have an older sister [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and a girlfriend [name_u]Hilary[/name_u], as those two female names are a generation or so apart to me.

I also find [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] a little matchy for twins, but if matchy names is what you’re after then it works. I find [name_m]Harlan[/name_m] a bit more of a modern sounding name as well with all the surnamey vibe names that are popular, but I guess it has history enough to work here.

[name_m]Jimmy[/name_m], [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_u]Hilary[/name_u] were all born in the 70’s. Would [name_f]Heather[/name_f] or [name_f]Laura[/name_f] work better for [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m]'s sister? [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Monique[/name_f], [name_f]Marcy[/name_f], or [name_f]Myra[/name_f] for [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m] Dr. girlfriend?

[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] are named what they’re named because their mother was very much into old movies, and famous people…her twins are named after [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] from Gone with the Wind and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] from [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]. For their father, I picked [name_m]Harlan[/name_m] because it is different and different would catch [name_u]Jean[/name_u]'s attention.

Yeah, I think changing [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] to something a bit more classic 70s might be better. [name_f]Heather[/name_f] or [name_f]Laura[/name_f] would be fine for her, but I’d be cautious about switching [name_u]Hilary[/name_u] to [name_f]Myra[/name_f], as that name has strong associations in the UK as being that of a serial killer ([name_f]Myra[/name_f] Hindley) so is pretty unusable over here at least. If you want to switch it, I’d suggest [name_f]Monique[/name_f] (or [name_f]Monica[/name_f]) as being the better of your options.

Fair enough on [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], with that back story the names are fine. Ditto [name_m]Harlan[/name_m], if you want something different it works.

Ummm…I don’t pay attention to UK news so thanks for the heads up regarding [name_f]Myra[/name_f] Hindley. I’m definitely going with [name_f]Heather[/name_f] for the sister.

I’m going to take a few hours and think a little more about [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m]'s girlfriend. She’s a tall brunette with a huge smile and a heart of gold. She’s a doctor so obviously she’s well-educated and very driven. She’s the take charge type, but she’s also very stubborn and she very needy.
