[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f]?

If you want something less unusual than [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f], I don’t think [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] is it. I would imagine they’d both cause problems- they’re both very rare names. That said, there’s nothing wrong with either choice, and there are definitely benefits to having a unique name.

It sounds like your husband isn’t super into [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f], so if you like [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] just as much, I’d go with that.

I adore [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f]. Beautiful! The fact your son called her PomPom through your pregnancy is a lovely story to tell her one day… It’s almost like the name was meant to be. It makes the name that more special in my opinion:)

[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] is nice too but really like [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f]…

I voted for [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f]. I don’t think you should worry about its unusualness, especially if you give her a middle she can choose to go by instead. If you’re that worried about it, perhaps you could use [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f] as the middle. I don’t think [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f] is any odder than [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f].

There’s also [name_f]Pomme[/name_f] and [name_f]Pomona[/name_f] you could use as middles. [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Pomme[/name_f] is darling, although I enjoy your daring tastes a bit more.

Considering all the [name_m]Pom[/name_m]- names derive from the french word for apple, perhaps [name_f]Avalon[/name_f], meaning “island of apples” could be a possibility?
