I voted for [name]Zane[/name]! It’s just the most interesting choice to me. I love its quirkiness and I really think it could fit any type of little guy. :slight_smile: My mind automatically goes to the [name]Zane[/name] in the TV show Eureka, who is cocky, a bit rebellious, really smart, a physicist (I think? Some sort of scientist!), but also one of the sweetest guys I’ve seen portrayed on TV. But I think a [name]Zane[/name] could be anyone!

[name]Zachary[/name] is nice, traditional, handsome, but its nicknames have always bored me a bit. I do like just [name]Zachary[/name], though! And [name]Jed[/name]… I don’t really see the appeal. It seems very country-ish to me, but I do think others have been falling for it lately, so maybe it’ll have a comeback soon.

All three of these, though, are a very different style–does that matter to you? I was just thinking about if you had other sons/children in the future, if having a sibset that “goes” together mattered to you. If it does, I would suggest looking at which name suits your style more. I could see [name]Benjamin[/name], [name]Lucas[/name], [name]Samuel[/name], [name]Riley[/name], [name]Christian[/name], [name]Matthew[/name], etc., as a brother to [name]Zachary[/name], while I can see [name]Grayson[/name], [name]Boone[/name], [name]Wyatt[/name], etc., as a brother to [name]Zane[/name], and more southern-type names as brothers to [name]Jed[/name] (sorry, can’t think of any right now!).

I have friends whose dog is [name]Jed[/name]. Not a good choice in my opinion for a boy! [name]Zane[/name] is weird - I much prefer [name]Zach[/name]!

I am SO happy someone else makes this connection!! I don’t know any Zanes. I kinda liked the name before, but it’s grown on me a lot since watching that show. So has [name]Josephine[/name] for the nn [name]Jo[/name] :slight_smile:

However, I did vote for [name]Zach[/name]. I love the name but can’t use it. My cousins have kids named [name]Zachary[/name] and [name]Isaac[/name] who goes by [name]Zack[/name]. So out of the question for me but I like it a lot!
