I am expecting my 4th child in a few months, and it’s a girl!
We feel like we are going in circles, and are all over the place with names and need suggestions!
[name_f]My[/name_f] husband adores [name_u]Blair[/name_u], but I find it a bit harsh especially with a 1 syllable last name. Also it doesn’t seem very girly, or have the potential for a girly nickname.
I also like [name_u]Briar[/name_u], [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] and [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] but my husband doesn’t really care for either…but, I’m sure I could convince him!?
We like [name_u]Regan[/name_u] but would want it pronounced [name_f]Ree[/name_f]-gan and not [name_u]Ray[/name_u]-gan like the president. I’m worried we would always be correcting.
We kind of like the funky “cool girl names” (hence the choice of [name_u]Blair[/name_u] )
and not top 10, and bonus if it has a great nickname.
Potential middle names are [name_f]Gloria[/name_f] or [name_f]Nora[/name_f] (grandparents)
Your girls’ style seems to be trendy/unisex. With [name_f]Mikaela[/name_f] and [name_u]Emerson[/name_u], I would go with something like [name_u]Madigan[/name_u] ([name_f]Maddie[/name_f]) or [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] ([name_f]Ellie[/name_f]).
Blair is such a good choice! I’be always wanted to meet a little girl with that name and tbh I think it would also make a great name for a boy as I think that’s more of it’s use in the UK.
What about [name_f]Bryony[/name_f]? I think it would suit the style of your other names
Bellamy nn [name_u]Bell[/name_u]/Amy
[name_u]Indigo[/name_u] nn [name_u]Indie[/name_u]
[name_u]Barrett[/name_u] nn [name_f]Betty[/name_f]/Bette/Betsy
[name_f]Selah[/name_f]
[name_u]Adair[/name_u]
[name_u]Delaney[/name_u] nn [name_u]Laney[/name_u]/Dell
[name_u]Peyton[/name_u]
[name_u]Teagan[/name_u]
[name_m]Kerrigan[/name_m]
[name_u]Cadence[/name_u]
[name_m]Farley[/name_m] nn [name_f]Fay[/name_f]
@sweetcaroline Thanks! That’s very interesting you mention [name_f]Bryony[/name_f]! I was always unsure of the pronunciation of this name and assumed it was actually [name_f]Bree[/name_f]-ony which I LOVE, however I now realize it’s actually [name_m]Brian[/name_m]-ee which I am struggling a bit with for some reason. A friend suggested I watch the movie “Atonement” and that should help a bit. I just watched a clip on YouTube and I can see it’s a bit different than I’m imagining. I keep thinking of brine (as in for pickles or meat) with an “e“ at the end.
[name_u]Regan[/name_u] seems like a good option for you. If it makes you feel better about [name_u]Regan[/name_u]'s pronunciation I know 2 [name_u]Regan[/name_u]'s one pronounces it like [name_m]Reegan[/name_m] the other like Raygan neither seems to have many issues.
Suggestions
[name_f]Bree[/name_f] / [name_f]Bria[/name_f]
[name_u]Harper[/name_u]
[name_f]Taya[/name_f]
[name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]
I like the suggestion above of [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Gloria[/name_f] nn [name_f]Nora[/name_f] or [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] as it references both grandmothers but not so sure about the flow. Maybe [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Glory[/name_f]?
Blair, [name_f]Brynn[/name_f], or [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]. Hard no on [name_u]Regan[/name_u]. Strongly dislike and no way someone won’t pronounce it like the president. If you were to add an extra E in there, it just makes the name worse.
