We have a [name]Maxwell[/name] [name]Parker[/name] (10) and an [name]Ava[/name] [name]Esme[/name] (7) and we are expecting baby No.3 in the next 5 weeks! We do not know the gender of the baby, and in passing, we have mentioned names to the kids who now have their own opinions. (However, the mn on both genders is a MUST.) The names are as follows:
My DH is onboard will all names, except for [name]Milo[/name], which he thinks is a limp-wristed weakling name, not to mention the Simpsons reference. Our kids disagree, but love it b/c of the 80s movie, [name]Milo[/name] & [name]Otis[/name]. You guys were so helpful a few months ago when I was just beginning the search, and I would love some feedback now. I think my kids have it in the bag! LOL – I’ve been very surprised by them! But would love some outside input, as we have told VERY few people what our name considerations are.
I vote for [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oliver[/name] and [name]Lola[/name] [name]Irene[/name]. I think [name]Milo[/name] and [name]Oliver[/name] are too “O” heavy, so I went with [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oliver[/name], which sounds gorgeous! I loved [name]Lola[/name] [name]Irene[/name] for a girl!
and [name]Miles[/name] for a boy, not [name]Milo[/name]
[name]Miles[/name] [name]Oliver[/name] flows well, sounds great, it is a strong name and a classic name and [name]Miles[/name] goes perfectly with [name]Oliver[/name].
We love [name]Miles[/name] too! There’s just one problem…our cat is named [name]Miles[/name]! Sadly, we have talked about this over the years – renaming the cat to use [name]Miles[/name] for a baby! But he is just too old now and it would just be strange. But I’m with you – [name]Miles[/name] is one of my favorites.
I agree with pps that [name]Milo[/name] [name]Oliver[/name] is O-heavy, it works but I prefer [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oliver[/name] - especially with [name]Maxwell[/name] (I tend not to like repeating initials).
As for girls, I like [name]Stella[/name] [name]Irene[/name] better just because I think it would age better, but [name]Lola[/name] is an absolutely darling name too, so I have less of an opinion on that front, either name is a winner in my books
I love the idea of naming your child with your children! If only my toddler was old enough to help us…
I think if you named a child [name]Milo[/name] when you have a cat called [name]Miles[/name], that’s a bit weird. Plus it’d seem like it should be the other way around - the human with the pet name and vice versa. I think [name]Henry[/name] is gorgeous with [name]Maxwell[/name] and [name]Ava[/name]. Sounds perfect.
For the girls I think [name]Stella[/name] is perfect, great with mn and lovely with her siblings. It’s a more versatile name than [name]Lola[/name]. There are many things I can’t imagine a ‘[name]Lola[/name]’ becoming but [name]Stella[/name] could be anything she wanted in all the world…

[name]Milo[/name] [name]Oliver[/name]- I agree, this is O-heavy, and too close to [name]Miles[/name], your cat’s name. It might be too matchy with [name]Maxwell[/name] since they both start with “M”.
[name]Stella[/name] [name]Irene[/name]- I think this ages better than [name]Lola[/name].
[name]Lola[/name] [name]Irene[/name]- I like [name]Lola[/name], but it’s more of a nickname for me. However, I’m not fond of [name]Dolores[/name], [name]Paloma[/name] is too exotic with the existing sib-set, and [name]Louisa[/name] is too uncommon (you can also get [name]Lola[/name] from many other names, though).
My votes go to [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oliver[/name] and [name]Stella[/name] [name]Irene[/name].
We had a baby girl on [name]April[/name] 9. I was so certain ‘she’ was a ‘he!’ It was hard to let [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oliver[/name] go…but our little girl is dazzling. And she is neither a [name]Stella[/name] or a [name]Lola[/name]! Her face was/is far too delicate. We were so stumped - completely unexpected. But she indeed named herself! [name]Liliana[/name] [name]Irene[/name]. We will call her [name]Lily[/name]. So much more popular than I wanted to go with, but she just wasn’t anyone else! (we did temporarily entertain naming her Lilette - glad we didn’t, tho…) [name]Max[/name] and [name]Ava[/name], our kids, are thrilled with her, and her name!

I don’t think [name]Milo[/name] [name]Oliver[/name] or [name]Miles[/name] [name]Oliver[/name] has the best flow. Kind of mushy. [name]Miles[/name] [name]Oliver[/name] sounds the best of the two - [name]Miles[/name] and [name]Milo[/name].
