So my fiance and I were talking about baby names, we already have one son named [name_m]Joshua[/name_m].
the names we agree on are [name_f]Meleah[/name_f] and [name_f]Alaina[/name_f]… All having 6 letters. We also like the name [name_m]Gideon[/name_m], [name_m]Andrew[/name_m], [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]. We like a lot of other names that have different amounts of letters, we also happen to like 5 lettered names such as [name_u]Micah[/name_u], [name_m]Aaron[/name_m], [name_m]Caleb[/name_m], [name_u]Elias[/name_u], [name_m]Kevin[/name_m], [name_u]Mason[/name_u]…

what should we do?

I think it’s just happenstance that your favorites all seem to have six letters. That is the average for first names, actually. I wouldn’t let it dictate what you use in the future.

I agree with @otri. I seem to have developed a desire for same length sibsets, and I don’t recommend it (it can be very restrictive).

I also agree with pp, you will limit yourselves too much. Maybe you later on decide you want to keep a theme you inadvertedly started and that is much more important for you, and keeping six letters will be too hard.
