6 weeks to go and no middle name for August! I would love your input!

[name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] - my husband doesn’t love so much because our last name starts with H and the double H bother him
[name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Levi[/name_m] - a contender but he’s not full committed to it
[name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Otto[/name_m] or [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] [name_m]Otto[/name_m] - more meaningful to us, we were married on the 8th

Any preferences? Any suggestions? We’re searching high and low and a middle name for [name_u]August[/name_u] for some reason is really tough for us. Of course, we’ll consider [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] to it flows right too… Your suggestions would be super helpful!

[name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Otto[/name_m] or [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] [name_m]Otto[/name_m] would be my vote. I also really like the name [name_m]Otto[/name_m]. I slightly lean towards [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] [name_m]Otto[/name_m] but both sound good.

I like [name_m]Levi[/name_m], not sure how it stylistially matches next to [name_u]August[/name_u].

While the meaning of [name_m]Otto[/name_m] to you is lovely, I think it sounds strange nxt to [name_u]August[/name_u] (it’s a hard name to match!)

Maybe, instead of [name_m]Otto[/name_m], [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Octavius[/name_m]? It is long, because the repitition of end ‘s’ sounds is appealing to me.

I like [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] the best from your list and [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Levi[/name_m] after that. I like how [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Otto[/name_m] has personal meaning for you, but I don’t really like [name_m]Otto[/name_m]…if you go with [name_m]Otto[/name_m] as the middle though I think [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] goes better.

If I had an [name_u]August[/name_u] I would choose one of these names for the middle:

[name_m]Daniel[/name_m]
[name_m]Edward[/name_m]
[name_m]Alexander[/name_m]
[name_m]Xavier[/name_m] - emphasis on the X, and not with a Z sound

From your list, I like [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. I think it sounds fine with an H last name, as long as it doesn’t end in a Y.

[name_f]My[/name_f] son’s name is [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] and I think all three names would go well with [name_m]Augustus[/name_m]! I like the meaning behind [name_m]Otto[/name_m] but it sounds better with [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] in my opinion.

[name_u]August[/name_u] is my favourite name for a boy. :slight_smile: Unfortunately I also have problems finding the perfect middle. I think [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Otto[/name_m] are gorgeous, but prefer the flow of [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] [name_m]Otto[/name_m]. Though of course that also depends on your surname.
