I am currently pregnant with baby number five and we are extremely stumped for baby names. I have visited dozens of sites multiple times a day looking for the perfect name and have yet to find anything close.
Our current children’s names are [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_u]Bradley[/name_u] [name_m]Coleman[/name_m] and [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]. Everybody in our family has 7 letters. (We’ve really narrowed down our choices lol) What we’re looking for is a little boy’s name with seven letters and would really like to have a four-letter nickname like with [name_u]Bradley[/name_u] it’s [name_m]Brad[/name_m] with [name_m]Coleman[/name_m] it’s [name_m]Cole[/name_m].
[name_m]Greyson[/name_m] nn [name_u]Grey[/name_u] would work!
I also like [name_u]Hartley[/name_u] nn [name_m]Hart[/name_m]
[name_m]Jackson[/name_m] nn [name_m]Jack[/name_m]
[name_m]Zachary[/name_m] nn [name_m]Zach[/name_m]
[name_u]Michael[/name_u] nn [name_m]Mike[/name_m]
[name_u]Everett[/name_u] nn Rett
[name_m]Killian[/name_m] nn [name_m]Liam[/name_m]?
[name_m]Beckett[/name_m] nn [name_u]Beck[/name_u]
[name_m]Abraham[/name_m] nn [name_m]Bram[/name_m] or [name_m]Abe[/name_m]
[name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] nn [name_m]Amos[/name_m] or Arro or [name_u]Osie[/name_u]
[name_m]Beckett[/name_m] nn [name_m]Kitt[/name_m]
[name_u]Emerson[/name_u] nn [name_f]Emer[/name_f] or [name_u]Sonny[/name_u]
[name_m]Granger[/name_m] nn [name_u]Gray[/name_u] or [name_u]Ray[/name_u]
[name_m]Griffin[/name_m] nn [name_m]Griff[/name_m] or [name_m]Fin[/name_m]
[name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] nn [name_m]Linc[/name_m]
[name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] nn [name_m]Axel[/name_m] or [name_u]Max[/name_u]
[name_u]Spencer[/name_u] nn [name_u]Spence[/name_u]
I also wanted to suggest [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] nn [name_u]Dash[/name_u], spelling variants include Dashell and Dashiel.
For what it’s worth, I really don’t think anybody would notice or pay any attention to the number of letters in their names… especially if they don’t go by their full names. Maybe you should consider going with just a 2 syllable name (like [name_m]Coleman[/name_m] & [name_u]Bradley[/name_u]) that shortens to a 4 letter nickname ([name_m]Tucker[/name_m]/[name_m]Tuck[/name_m], etc.) or even a 7 letter name that just shortens to a 1 syllable nickname ([name_m]Maxwell[/name_m]/[name_u]Max[/name_u], etc. like [name_m]Cole[/name_m] & [name_m]Brad[/name_m])… unless it just would bother you personally. It just may make it easier to find something you truly love!
[name_u]Seven[/name_u]-letter names with four-letter nicknames, brother to [name_f]Abigail[/name_f], [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], [name_u]Bradley[/name_u] ([name_m]Brad[/name_m]) and [name_m]Coleman[/name_m] ([name_m]Cole[/name_m]):
If you don’t mind repeating initials:
[name_m]Beckett[/name_m] ([name_u]Beck[/name_u])
[name_m]Clayton[/name_m] ([name_m]Clay[/name_m])
[name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] ([name_m]Linc[/name_m])
I hope there aren’t too many repeats in this list… I really like the previous suggestions of [name_m]Greyson[/name_m]/[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] ‘[name_u]Grey[/name_u]/[name_u]Gray[/name_u]’ and [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] ‘[name_m]Linc[/name_m]/[name_m]Link[/name_m]’
[name_u]Seven[/name_u] letter full name with a four letter nickname? There are options, sure, but those criteria are too restrictive. The vast majority isn’t going to notice or care if your kids have different numbers of letters in their name.
