If you want other ideas I am partial to [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] or [name_f]Luciana[/name_f]. I don’t know if they sound french enough though. But between those two I think [name_f]Lucienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] as a nickname sounds good. As an adult character it is a good idea to have a “proper” first name. My first name is [name_f]Melissa[/name_f] but I am known as [name_f]Missy[/name_f]. And as an adult of twenty-four it is good [name_f]Missy[/name_f] wasn’t my real name. More job opportunities and such.
I think [name_f]Lucienne[/name_f], definitely.
[name_f]Lucienne[/name_f] is very pretty and I find it even more “[name_m]French[/name_m]” than [name_f]Lucie[/name_f]. If your character is chic, sophisticated and intelligent, I think [name_f]Lucienne[/name_f] is the way to go!
[name_f]Lucienne[/name_f] with [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] as a shortened form. It sounds much more [name_m]French[/name_m], and more sophisticated to know that [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] is only a shortened form.
I agree with pretty mcuh everyone else. [name_f]Lucienne[/name_f] “[name_f]Lucie[/name_f]” is the best way to go.
