Hello! I am desperately in need of some help. I’m due at the end of [name]June[/name] & for the past 8 months my husband & I haven’t been able to agree on a name. We’re team green so we’ve had to come up with both genders names that we like. We’ve narrowed down our boy list and have a favorite but have gone round & round with girls names.
I feel like I’ve seen/heard every name and I think I am so far into finding the perfect name that none sound right anymore.
DH & I have very common names for our age so we are looking for something unique (hopefully out of the top 200 at least). Something easily recognizable/easy to pronounce. Nothing too trendy. Nothing ending in “n” (our last name ends in -man)
Here are our list of boys names so you can get an idea for our taste: (potential mns are [name]Boyd[/name] (my maiden name) or [name]David[/name])
[name]Van[/name]
[name]Rivers[/name]
[name]Callum[/name] nn [name]Cal[/name]
[name]Cassady[/name] nn [name]Cass[/name]
Girls names I like that have been vetoed:
[name]Ivy[/name] (had to cut it after [name]Beyonce[/name] used it as a mn)
[name]Georgie[/name] ([name]Georgia[/name] is still in the running)
[name]Sibella[/name]
[name]Poppy[/name]
[name]Mazie[/name] (after my grandmother)
[name]Felicity[/name]
Julep
Girls names we’ve short listed but still feel wishy washy about: (mn will be [name]Faith[/name] after our mothers, [name]Hope[/name] & [name]Charity[/name])
[name]Beatrix[/name]
[name]Ophelia[/name]
[name]Avalon[/name]
[name]Polly[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name] nn [name]Posey[/name] (we feel like [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Faith[/name] is super conservative/old lady for our taste)
I’d love any suggestions of girls names that work with [name]Faith[/name] and fit the bill, I’m definitely not set on any of the ones we’ve narrowed down.
Thanks!
I think that [name]Georgia[/name] [name]Faith[/name] is lovely! Out of your list, I really like [name]Ophelia[/name] [name]Faith[/name] and [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Faith[/name]. I see where you’re coming from with [name]Josephine[/name] being conservative/old lady, but I think with [name]Posey[/name] as a nickname it would lose that feeling.
I really like [name]Sibella[/name] [name]Faith[/name], too bad it was vetoed. I just found [name]Billa[/name], which is a Scandinavian/Dutch short form of [name]Sibella[/name]. [name]Billa[/name] [name]Faith[/name]?
[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Faith[/name] or [name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Faith[/name] would be great. I like [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Faith[/name] and [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Faith[/name] as well.
