[name]Baby[/name] girl is due in 8 weeks, and we are having a hard time deciding between these two names:
[name]Lavinia[/name] [name]Hadley[/name] (nn “[name]Liv[/name]”)
[name]Hadley[/name] [name]Lavinia[/name], [name]Hadley[/name] [name]Rowan[/name]
concerns: [name]Liv[/name] might be confused with a nn for [name]Olivia[/name], which is way too popular for us to even consider. Also, [name]Hadley[/name] is on a roll right now and I’m concerned about the name being all over the place.
feedback please!
Thanks!
I vote for [name]Lavinia[/name] [name]Hadley[/name] - I started to like [name]Lavinia[/name] after watching Downtown [name]Abbey[/name]! The nn [name]Liv[/name] might be confused for [name]Olivia[/name], but I wouldn’t worry about that. I don’t think people would start calling her [name]Olivia[/name] just because her nn is [name]Liv[/name].
I can see [name]Hadley[/name] getting very popular - for both boys and girls. Good luck!
I agree, I can see [name]Hadley[/name] becoming popular as I do know one, and it just sounds like a name people will like as [name]Haley[/name] gets staler.
But, I’m not a fan of [name]Lavinia[/name] ( I know one that goes by [name]Lovie[/name]) and she’s tainted the name for me. I’d vote for [name]Rowan[/name] if it were a 1st option.
Or [name]Hadley[/name] [name]Lavinia[/name]- but they feel mismatched. Sorry!
[name]Rowan[/name] [name]Hadley[/name] would me smashing! I agree that [name]Hadley[/name] is poised to take off. I love [name]Lavinia[/name], but not the associations that go with it. [name]Shakespeare[/name]'s [name]Titus[/name] Andronicus is enough to make it a no-go for me.
