We’re expecting a baby boy in August but can’t decide on a name we both love.
On our short list we have- Charlie, Freddie, Arthur and Dexter. I also like Bertie, laurie, Otis, Arlo, August, Ted, Kit and Monty but my husband is a bit more traditional!
I’d like 2 middle names (our daughter is Matilda
Betty Rose, Henry is just Henry Thomas which I regret not having more fun with!). One of the middle names would be Drew as it’s mil’s maiden name. Surname is Ashdown, which I’m worried rules our -er type names, like Jasper.
I don’t think your surname rules out -er names at all and I think Jasper is fantastic with Henry and Matilda, which I love by the way. I also adore Otis and August although all of your choices are lovely. Apart from the above, I also have a soft spot for Kit, Monty, Arlo and Freddie

Our little lad is now 8 weeks old. In the end we went with a rather long name, but I think it ticks all our boxes for a classic, fun, cute name that honours my husband’s family. His grandad actually passed away a few weeks before he was born.
