We are on the hunt for a name for a baby sister. Our daughter is 2 and is [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_u]Robin[/name_u]. We want to avoid any names in the top 500. No unusual spellings, please. I’m a midwife so I see all sorts of baby names come and go, so it is so hard to choose one!
[name_f]Edith[/name_f] was the first name that came to mind with [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]. [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_u]Robin[/name_u] is lovely. If you like the bird imagery, you could continue that for the mn with [name_f]Avis[/name_f], [name_u]Dove[/name_u], [name_u]Finch[/name_u], [name_f]Lark[/name_f], [name_f]Oriole[/name_f], [name_f]Sparrow[/name_f], [name_f]Starling[/name_f], or [name_u]Wren[/name_u].

[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]- Cute but I do worry on how it ages from a girl to a full-grown woman…
As for middle names, I think something like “[name_u]Ember[/name_u]” or “[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]” would match your style. My favorite pick would probably be [name_f]Helena[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], but [name_f]Helena[/name_f] [name_u]Ember[/name_u] is nice too. Good luck!
Great suggestions! Middle name is already a done deal, should have mentioned that. The middle name will be Dansard, which is an old family name on my maternal side. So, names will have to flow well with that!
Some of our current favs are [name_f]Liesl[/name_f], [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] ([name_f]Ginny[/name_f] for short), and [name_f]Louise[/name_f]. I have a BFF named [name_f]Luisa[/name_f], so I want to avoid a the alternate [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] for that reason. :).

I like [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] a lot! I like how [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] and [name_f]Louise[/name_f] would both end in an ‘s’ type of sound. That’s a great connection and would also make the sibset sound distinct and even unusual. Great options!
