So we just found out that we are expecting baby girl number 3! We didn’t plan to have an ‘E’ theme but hubby loved [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] and we didn’t think we’d have a third baby! But now I worry that she would feel left out otherwise?
I do love E names though, so far the names we like are…
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] (my favourite and it’s growing on my husband nn would be Elle)
[name_f]Elle[/name_f] (hubby’s favourite but I think it’s too short with our one syllable surname but like it as a nickname)
[name_u]Esme[/name_u] (like it but hubby isn’t keen)
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] (both like it but there’s an [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] in our family, nn would be Liv/Livvy)
DD1 is [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_u]Rose[/name_u] and DD2 is [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]. I think a three syllable name ties the names together nicely, eg [name_f]Eva[/name_f], [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]. I also think a one syllable middle name will flow nicely but we’re struggling to agree.
We aren’t set on an E name so we’re open to all suggestions! We also need help with middle names too! Thanks in advance!
I’ll also suggest Eleanor/Elinor and Elodie. Both had Elle as a nickname option and I think they go nicely with the sisters without being overly matchy.
Some middle name ideas…
Eloise Jane
Eloise June
Eloise Pearl
Eloise Wren
Eloise Grace
I love [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] it’s a new favourite of mine as of recently that climbed right up into my top five (since I feel like the sister set that it fits into is so me and I adore it - [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] “Tilly” + [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] “Elou” + [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] “Zella” which I also love the other way round aka [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] with the nickname Emmy). [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] feels so complete to me that I’d rarely revert to a nickname however I love coming up with nicknames for my sets for close family/friends and [name_f]Elle[/name_f] is so cute.
If I were you, as things stand with your third being another girl, I’d stick to the E theme. That wouldn’t be difficult for me as my favourite names for girls are E names
Objectively my favourite of your options is [name_u]Esme[/name_u], it was high on my list too. But in this set I think you’re on the money with [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]. You’re right about the 3 syllable thing, it fits perfectly between your girls. The different ending sound is a nice touch too. The fact that hubby isn’t keen on [name_u]Esme[/name_u] would scratch that option anyway.
If it were me, I’d want to keep consistency with the monosyllabic middle. Some suggestions -
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Hope[/name_f]
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f] (Ellerby would be a cute family nn!)
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Beth[/name_f]
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Nell[/name_f]
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f]
I don’t think you should feel locked into an E theme (unless of course your absolute favourite choice starts with E, in which case go for it).
You could just as easily use another name that starts with a vowel and ends with an a - that would feel cohesive with [name_f]Eva[/name_f] and [name_f]Emilia[/name_f]. [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is a good example, but if that’s unusable, how about:
etc etc etc there are lots of options with this theme!
Also, if you like [name_f]Elle[/name_f] as a nn - something like [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] or [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] could work, or maybe [name_f]Adele[/name_f] (I love this with your girls’ names!).
I’ll also suggest just [name_f]Olive[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Liv[/name_f] or Livvy) if [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is out.
