I have finally got a short list, but I’m not sure I really love any of these names!
My first son is [name]Oscar[/name] [name]Graeme[/name] [name]Ignatius[/name] ([name]Oscar[/name] after my partner’s godfather, [name]Graeme[/name] after my uncle and [name]Ignatius[/name] just because).
This boy (I haven’t actually found out, but I’m certain it will be a boy) will have to have two middle names, like his brother and father, and I’d prefer he didn’t have the same initials.
My choices so far are (for middle or first) –
[name]Jasper[/name] (to similar to [name]Oscar[/name]?)
[name]Pablo[/name]
[name]Quentin[/name]
[name]Raphael[/name]
[name]William[/name]
And only in the middle –
Greenhalgh (a family name)
[name]Horace[/name] (after my grandad)
[name]Rowe[/name] (a family name)
[name]Ruben[/name] (my partner and his father’s name)
Any further suggestions or combination ideas? As I’m really unsure about all of the above …
I love [name]Quentin[/name]! it’s been on my own short list for a while now, although I don’t think we’re going to end up using it. hmm, I’ve never been big on two middle names myself so not really sure what to suggest for the combination, but my other preferences from your list would be [name]Jasper[/name] (I don’t think it’s too close to [name]Oscar[/name], and they go together nicely if you like more matchy sounding sibling names), [name]Raphael[/name] (a beautiful name that you don’t hear too often) and then [name]Rowe[/name] and [name]Ruben[/name] are nice. that is probably not much help.
Have you noticed that you have the names of two famous painters in the list ie [name]Raphael[/name] and [name]Ruben/name?
I like [name]Quentin[/name] very much with [name]Oscar[/name]. [name]Quentin[/name] [name]Jasper[/name] [name]Horace[/name].
I am also a big fan of [name]Jasper[/name], combo [name]Jasper[/name] [name]Ruben[/name] [name]Benedict[/name] +surname ([name]Benedict[/name] is a ‘just because’ name too like [name]Ignatius[/name] and they both are stunning together.

I find it really interesting that everyone’s favourites seem to be [name]Jasper[/name] and [name]Quentin[/name]. However my partner has just let me know that he can’t stand [name]Quentin[/name] (he didn’t seem to mind earlier), so that name shall have to be scrapped ): (And just so you know I loved the [name]Quentin[/name] [name]Jasper[/name] [name]Horace[/name] and the [name]Quentin[/name] [name]Jasper[/name] [name]Rowe[/name] combos).
I’m still not sure about [name]Oscar[/name] and [name]Jasper[/name] as a sib-set, so I may be going back to the drawing board and trying to find some more names to play with.
[name]Rollo[/name] - thanks for pointing out the famous painters, off to check out nameberry lists for others, as it may be something I’m subconciously drawn to, I must secretly want a creative child! (I also included [name]Pablo[/name], as in [name]Picasso[/name] and didn’t even notice!)
