So I’ve recently updated my UC with some names that I’ve recently made combos for. Almost all of them have some kind of honor or personal meaning to me, and because I have no one to share these irl, I’m gonna share the meaning of them with you guys. So here’s a breakdown of my combos !!

So let’s start with the girls-
[name_u]Kahlo[/name_u] [name_f]Azucena[/name_f] [name_f]Adele[/name_f]- So a lot of you know how special this combo is to me. [name_u]Kahlo[/name_u] and [name_f]Adele[/name_f] after after my great grandma [name_u]Carmen[/name_u] [name_f]Delia[/name_f] (dehl-yah) who passed a few months ago. While [name_f]Adele[/name_f] is a bit more obvious as an honor towards her, [name_u]Kahlo[/name_u] has a lot more meaning to me. Some of the last moments I spent with her were at her kitchen table, I was doing research of [name_f]Frida[/name_f] [name_u]Kahlo[/name_u] and making the combo for [name_u]Kahlo[/name_u] itself. We were together, no one else but us, and she’d ask every so often what I was doing and I’d show her and we’d talk. It seems small but it’s one of my last memories with her and it’s one I’ll always treasure. [name_f]Azucena[/name_f] is a Spanish name meaning lily, [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is my best friends name, we’ve known each other since before double digits and she’s been with me through a lot, so [name_f]Azucena[/name_f]
[name_f]Azula[/name_f] [name_u]Honor[/name_u] [name_f]Soleil[/name_f]- So [name_f]Azula[/name_f] is a bit of a few things, one it’s a nod to my younger sister. She’s 13 months younger than me and we’re super close (we get confused for twins a lot, idk how we don’t look alike), [name_f]Azula[/name_f] is Spanish and means blue, which is my sisters favorite color. [name_f]Azula[/name_f] is also a character is Avatar: The Last Airbender, which is one of our favorite shows to watch together. [name_u]Honor[/name_u] is after my grandma [name_f]Gloria[/name_f] cause Glory=Honor. [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] while I don’t exactly think of it as an honor reminds me of my mom, as she’s a very warm yet fiery person
[name_f]Amparo[/name_f] [name_f]Olimpia[/name_f] [name_u]Cruz[/name_u]- [name_f]Amparo[/name_f] is a name I just adore, introduced to me by @acajou , and I use it to honor my mom [name_f]Aime[/name_f] who I’m very close to, and I love how it’s Spanish to honor my heritage. I usually don’t care about meanings unless they’re honors but I love how it means protection. [name_f]Olimpia[/name_f] is a bit of a nod towards my love of Greek mythology, and it’s spelled the Spanish way, honestly just cause I like it better 
. [name_u]Cruz[/name_u] is another Spanish name that I just really really love
[name_f]Mavis[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_u]Dean[/name_u]- So there’s no honors to other people in this combo, but a big mix of names that have connections to things I love. The first time I had heard the name [name_f]Mavis[/name_f] was from the movie Hotel Transylvania where the daughter is named [name_f]Mavis[/name_f] and I loved it, as well as the character, who I thought was so sweet and adorable (and evidence that just cause you dress in all black doesn’t mean I’m a miserable person). [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] a nod to my love of classic literature, while the character definitely had a tragic story, I think the name has a gorgeous imagery, bright sapphire blues and and muted greens and just a very elegant yet very organic vibe. [name_u]Dean[/name_u] honestly I just liked with it, no big meaning behind [name_u]Dean[/name_u]
[name_u]Dorian[/name_u] [name_f]Hebe[/name_f] [name_u]Lux[/name_u]- [name_u]Dorian[/name_u] is a nod to my grandma [name_f]Gloria[/name_f], who loves this name. While she prefers it for a boy she actually doesn’t mind it for a girl and says that if she had another kid she would’ve loved for it to be a [name_u]Dorian[/name_u]. [name_f]Hebe[/name_f] and [name_u]Lux[/name_u] I just thought sounded super cool
[name_f]Zatanna[/name_f] Ibelis [name_u]Rio[/name_u]- [name_f]Zatanna[/name_f] was a childhood name love for me, one of my favorite superhero’s was [name_f]Zatanna[/name_f] [name_f]Zatara[/name_f]. I started bingeing [name_m]Young[/name_m] [name_u]Justice[/name_u] and it revived my love for it. Ibelis was a name that @ellerbea intoduced me to and I fell in love it with it on sight! [name_u]Rio[/name_u] is an honor for my great grandma [name_f]Miriam[/name_f], who passed a few years ago
[name_f]Hecate[/name_f] Delamira [name_m]Psalm[/name_m]- This is probably one of my favorite combos that I’ve made in a long time. [name_f]Hecate[/name_f] is a name I really really love, I love the Greek mythology link and just the general sparkly witchy vibe from it. Delamira is a name I made up, I combined my both my great grandmas names, [name_f]Delia[/name_f] and [name_f]Miriam[/name_f], and got Delamira and just absolutely fell in love, it feels a bit old Hollywood glam to me. [name_m]Psalm[/name_m] is a name that I really liked and thought it sounded really nice in the combo
[name_m]Olympus[/name_m] [name_f]Amada[/name_f] [name_m]Rhodes[/name_m]- So [name_m]Olympus[/name_m] has been a love of mine for a while, but I started reading a comic and with [name_m]Olympus[/name_m] in the title and I just unwillingly decided that [name_m]Olympus[/name_m] is now a part of my life and it’s never gonna go away. [name_f]Amada[/name_f] is after my mom [name_f]Aime[/name_f], which is the Spanish variant of it (and [name_f]Amy[/name_f], [name_f]Aimee[/name_f], etc). [name_m]Rhodes[/name_m] I really loved and actually had it in an [name_f]Azula[/name_f] combo at first, but obviously that didn’t turn out. I did a poll a while ago asking whether people thought [name_m]Rhodes[/name_m] was fem, fem leaning, neutral, masc leaning or masc (I’ve always thought of it as neutral), 95% of the votes wer masc of masc leaning and I took that and decided to do a girl combo with it because I can (I promise this isn’t a jab towards anyone it’s just my uncontrollable need to do the opposite 
), and I got this
[name_u]Amal[/name_u] Xiomaris [name_u]Jericho[/name_u]- [name_u]Amal[/name_u] is another one after my mom. Xiomaris is a version of [name_f]Xiomara[/name_f], which I adore (I love Xiomaris too) but decide not to put in the first spot cause it’s my cousins name. [name_u]Jericho[/name_u] is just really really love, especially for a girl idk why it just has this vibe to it that I love

[name_m]Osiris[/name_m] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] [name_u]Reign[/name_u]- [name_m]Osiris[/name_m] my love 
[name_m]Osiris[/name_m] is a name that I just absolutely adore, just the sound, the imagery, everything about it I just love so so much. It’s also a nod to my dad [name_m]Omar[/name_m], for a few reasons and it’s one of the few names he really likes on my list. [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] is a family name (my great uncle, great grandpa and probably my great great grandpa, it was gonna be my middle name too if I were a boy). [name_u]Reign[/name_u] I just really like, and I really like this spelling with the combo, it make it feel very regal to me
Zephiro [name_m]Lauritz[/name_m] [name_f]Glory[/name_f]- This is honestly my most meaningful boy combo on my list, in honor of my grandma [name_f]Gloria[/name_f] who I’m really close to. Zephiro is an honor for her and I’s relationship. She’s one of the few people who I can really talk to about names and things in general. One interest we both love is Greek mythology, Zephiro is basically an alternate spelling of Céfiro which is [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] in Spanish, who’s a Greek god. When I asked her about it she really loved the name which immediately made it go to the top of my list. [name_m]Lauritz[/name_m] is a name I just really liked and loved how it sounded with Zephiro. [name_f]Glory[/name_f] is obviously in honor of my grandma as well
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_m]Hades[/name_m] [name_f]Wildflower[/name_f]- [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] I just love so much, it’s the one name I let into the first name spot despite its popularity, I love it. It’s also a nod to my mom who absolutely love [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] (though she only really likes it in Spanish). [name_m]Hades[/name_m] is again a Greek god which is one of my favorites in mythology. [name_f]Wildflower[/name_f] I put because I can, flowers are for boys too 
[name_u]Raven[/name_u] [name_u]Angel[/name_u] [name_m]Buchanan[/name_m]- [name_u]Raven[/name_u] is one of my favorite superhero’s, I loved it for a girl but it just wasn’t completely clicking, then I thought of it for a boy and boom I was in love. [name_u]Angel[/name_u] is pronounced ahn-hel, after my grandma [name_f]Angela[/name_f]. I just in general really really love [name_u]Angel[/name_u]. [name_m]Buchanan[/name_m] is after [name_m]Bucky[/name_m] [name_m]Barnes[/name_m] whose a super big comfort character for me
[name_u]Loki[/name_u] [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] [name_u]Hyacinth[/name_u]- [name_u]Loki[/name_u] (in Marvel) is another comfort character of mine, and has been for a long time. Because of the character (I love the mythology too but especially the character) I’ve just completely fallen for the name. [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] is another name I just really really love, I first heard it on [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] Skarsgård, who also happens to be in marvel movies but I just really love the name. [name_u]Hyacinth[/name_u] I just thought sounded super cool with [name_u]Loki[/name_u] and [name_m]Stellan[/name_m], and I absolutely love the whole imagery of the combo
[name_m]Prospero[/name_m] [name_m]Zebulon[/name_m] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]- [name_m]Prospero[/name_m] is one that I’ve loved for a long time, but has really only gotten to the top pretty recently. I think it sounds sooo cool and I love the gothic feel to it. [name_m]Zebulon[/name_m] is like a double whammy for me cause it has such a cool sci-if vibe from it all while sounding ancient because of the biblical aspect of it. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is for my mother, that’s her favorite flower.
[name_u]Taika[/name_u] [name_m]Galileo[/name_m] [name_f]Moon[/name_f]- [name_u]Taika[/name_u] I just really really love, I love the sound of it and just the whole imagery of it is so cool, plus [name_u]Taika[/name_u] Waititi is a massive plus for me. [name_m]Galileo[/name_m] is after my grandpa [name_m]Gilberto[/name_m] and my dad whose middle name is [name_m]Gilberto[/name_m]. [name_f]Moon[/name_f] is just the fact that I love it, I love the moon in general but all of space is so interesting to me I love it.
[name_u]Zola[/name_u] [name_u]Zephaniah[/name_u] Rouge- Honestly there’s not much behind this, [name_u]Zola[/name_u] is a name I just really really love, I first heard it on [name_m]Emile[/name_m] [name_u]Zola[/name_u] and Arnim [name_u]Zola[/name_u] so it has almost a scholarly feel to it. [name_u]Zephaniah[/name_u] I just think sounds cool and I like the biblical association. Rouge I just really liked with it
[name_m]Othello[/name_m] [name_m]Txomin[/name_m] [name_u]Paris[/name_u]- [name_m]Othello[/name_m] is just chef’s kiss, I love it. [name_u]Paris[/name_u] was one I knew immediately I wanted to pair with it, [name_m]Othello[/name_m] [name_u]Paris[/name_u] just sounds so regal, very dark academia to me I adore it. [name_m]Txomin[/name_m] is another one @acajou introduced to me (pronounced tcho-meen) and I loved it, and I really loved how it sounded with [name_m]Othello[/name_m] and [name_u]Paris[/name_u].
