So I’ve recently updated my UC with some names that I’ve recently made combos for. Almost all of them have some kind of honor or personal meaning to me, and because I have no one to share these irl, I’m gonna share the meaning of them with you guys. So here’s a breakdown of my combos !!

So let’s start with the girls-
Kahlo Azucena Adele- So a lot of you know how special this combo is to me. Kahlo and Adele after after my great grandma Carmen Delia (dehl-yah) who passed a few months ago. While Adele is a bit more obvious as an honor towards her, Kahlo has a lot more meaning to me. Some of the last moments I spent with her were at her kitchen table, I was doing research of Frida Kahlo and making the combo for Kahlo itself. We were together, no one else but us, and she’d ask every so often what I was doing and I’d show her and we’d talk. It seems small but it’s one of my last memories with her and it’s one I’ll always treasure. Azucena is a Spanish name meaning lily, Lily is my best friends name, we’ve known each other since before double digits and she’s been with me through a lot, so Azucena
Azula Honor Soleil- So Azula is a bit of a few things, one it’s a nod to my younger sister. She’s 13 months younger than me and we’re super close (we get confused for twins a lot, idk how we don’t look alike), Azula is Spanish and means blue, which is my sisters favorite color. Azula is also a character is Avatar: The Last Airbender, which is one of our favorite shows to watch together. Honor is after my grandma Gloria cause Glory=Honor. Soleil while I don’t exactly think of it as an honor reminds me of my mom, as she’s a very warm yet fiery person
Amparo Olimpia Cruz- Amparo is a name I just adore, introduced to me by @acajou , and I use it to honor my mom Aime who I’m very close to, and I love how it’s Spanish to honor my heritage. I usually don’t care about meanings unless they’re honors but I love how it means protection. Olimpia is a bit of a nod towards my love of Greek mythology, and it’s spelled the Spanish way, honestly just cause I like it better 
. Cruz is another Spanish name that I just really really love
Mavis Ophelia Dean- So there’s no honors to other people in this combo, but a big mix of names that have connections to things I love. The first time I had heard the name Mavis was from the movie Hotel Transylvania where the daughter is named Mavis and I loved it, as well as the character, who I thought was so sweet and adorable (and evidence that just cause you dress in all black doesn’t mean I’m a miserable person). Ophelia a nod to my love of classic literature, while the character definitely had a tragic story, I think the name has a gorgeous imagery, bright sapphire blues and and muted greens and just a very elegant yet very organic vibe. Dean honestly I just liked with it, no big meaning behind Dean
Dorian Hebe Lux- Dorian is a nod to my grandma Gloria, who loves this name. While she prefers it for a boy she actually doesn’t mind it for a girl and says that if she had another kid she would’ve loved for it to be a Dorian. Hebe and Lux I just thought sounded super cool
Zatanna Ibelis Rio- Zatanna was a childhood name love for me, one of my favorite superhero’s was Zatanna Zatara. I started bingeing Young Justice and it revived my love for it. Ibelis was a name that @ellerbea intoduced me to and I fell in love it with it on sight! Rio is an honor for my great grandma Miriam, who passed a few years ago
Hecate Delamira Psalm- This is probably one of my favorite combos that I’ve made in a long time. Hecate is a name I really really love, I love the Greek mythology link and just the general sparkly witchy vibe from it. Delamira is a name I made up, I combined my both my great grandmas names, Delia and Miriam, and got Delamira and just absolutely fell in love, it feels a bit old Hollywood glam to me. Psalm is a name that I really liked and thought it sounded really nice in the combo
Olympus Amada Rhodes- So Olympus has been a love of mine for a while, but I started reading a comic and with Olympus in the title and I just unwillingly decided that Olympus is now a part of my life and it’s never gonna go away. Amada is after my mom Aime, which is the Spanish variant of it (and Amy, Aimee, etc). Rhodes I really loved and actually had it in an Azula combo at first, but obviously that didn’t turn out. I did a poll a while ago asking whether people thought Rhodes was fem, fem leaning, neutral, masc leaning or masc (I’ve always thought of it as neutral), 95% of the votes wer masc of masc leaning and I took that and decided to do a girl combo with it because I can (I promise this isn’t a jab towards anyone it’s just my uncontrollable need to do the opposite 
), and I got this
Amal Xiomaris Jericho- Amal is another one after my mom. Xiomaris is a version of Xiomara, which I adore (I love Xiomaris too) but decide not to put in the first spot cause it’s my cousins name. Jericho is just really really love, especially for a girl idk why it just has this vibe to it that I love

Osiris Samuel Reign- Osiris my love 
Osiris is a name that I just absolutely adore, just the sound, the imagery, everything about it I just love so so much. It’s also a nod to my dad Omar, for a few reasons and it’s one of the few names he really likes on my list. Samuel is a family name (my great uncle, great grandpa and probably my great great grandpa, it was gonna be my middle name too if I were a boy). Reign I just really like, and I really like this spelling with the combo, it make it feel very regal to me
Zephiro Lauritz Glory- This is honestly my most meaningful boy combo on my list, in honor of my grandma Gloria who I’m really close to. Zephiro is an honor for her and I’s relationship. She’s one of the few people who I can really talk to about names and things in general. One interest we both love is Greek mythology, Zephiro is basically an alternate spelling of Céfiro which is Zephyr in Spanish, who’s a Greek god. When I asked her about it she really loved the name which immediately made it go to the top of my list. Lauritz is a name I just really liked and loved how it sounded with Zephiro. Glory is obviously in honor of my grandma as well
Sebastian Hades Wildflower- Sebastian I just love so much, it’s the one name I let into the first name spot despite its popularity, I love it. It’s also a nod to my mom who absolutely love Sebastian (though she only really likes it in Spanish). Hades is again a Greek god which is one of my favorites in mythology. Wildflower I put because I can, flowers are for boys too 
Raven Angel Buchanan- Raven is one of my favorite superhero’s, I loved it for a girl but it just wasn’t completely clicking, then I thought of it for a boy and boom I was in love. Angel is pronounced ahn-hel, after my grandma Angela. I just in general really really love Angel. Buchanan is after Bucky Barnes whose a super big comfort character for me
Loki Stellan Hyacinth- Loki (in Marvel) is another comfort character of mine, and has been for a long time. Because of the character (I love the mythology too but especially the character) I’ve just completely fallen for the name. Stellan is another name I just really really love, I first heard it on Stellan Skarsgård, who also happens to be in marvel movies but I just really love the name. Hyacinth I just thought sounded super cool with Loki and Stellan, and I absolutely love the whole imagery of the combo
Prospero Zebulon Rose- Prospero is one that I’ve loved for a long time, but has really only gotten to the top pretty recently. I think it sounds sooo cool and I love the gothic feel to it. Zebulon is like a double whammy for me cause it has such a cool sci-if vibe from it all while sounding ancient because of the biblical aspect of it. Rose is for my mother, that’s her favorite flower.
Taika Galileo Moon- Taika I just really really love, I love the sound of it and just the whole imagery of it is so cool, plus Taika Waititi is a massive plus for me. Galileo is after my grandpa Gilberto and my dad whose middle name is Gilberto. Moon is just the fact that I love it, I love the moon in general but all of space is so interesting to me I love it.
Zola Zephaniah Rouge- Honestly there’s not much behind this, Zola is a name I just really really love, I first heard it on Emile Zola and Arnim Zola so it has almost a scholarly feel to it. Zephaniah I just think sounds cool and I like the biblical association. Rouge I just really liked with it
Othello Txomin Paris- Othello is just chef’s kiss, I love it. Paris was one I knew immediately I wanted to pair with it, Othello Paris just sounds so regal, very dark academia to me I adore it. Txomin is another one @acajou introduced to me (pronounced tcho-meen) and I loved it, and I really loved how it sounded with Othello and Paris.
