[name_m]Just[/name_m] found out baby #2[name_f][/name_f] is a boy and really struggling to come up with a name I love. Our first son is [name_m]Archie[/name_m] [name_m]Louis[/name_m], and I’m looking for something vintage that isn’t within the top 200 and peaked decades ago but not recently (as opposed to something vintage like [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], which is more popular now than ever.)
[name_f][/name_f]
For context (even though we’re having a boy) girl names I love:
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] nn Dot/Dottie [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Georgette[/name_f] nn [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] or [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] nn [name_f]Romy[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] nn [name_f]Bea[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Enid[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Leona[/name_f] or [name_f]Leota[/name_f]
Boys names we are considering but don’t totally love:
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_m]Caspar[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Atticus[/name_m] nn Kit/Gus [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Solomon[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Otis[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Amos[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite from this list is probably [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] (I’ve absolutely loved this name since middle school), but I feel like “Archie” and “Solomon” don’t make a great sib-set as [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] is lengthy and a mouthful in contrast to the sharp, boyish “Archie.”

Thank you in advance for reading this novel of a post! Any insight and suggestions are appreciated!
Not sure what country you’re in, but I’m assuming the US based on the “too popular” list.

From your “considering” list, I particularly like [name_m]Caspar[/name_m] and [name_m]Otis[/name_m] with [name_m]Archie[/name_m]. I love [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] as well. Not an incredibly intuitive choice with [name_m]Archie[/name_m], but I also think ideal sib-sets are somewhat overrated. Plus, you could always call him [name_m]Sol[/name_m], [name_m]Solly[/name_m], [name_m]Ollie[/name_m], etc. which mirrors the boyish quality of [name_m]Archie[/name_m].
I knew a [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] with a brother whose name was very similar to [name_m]Archie[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f] I think they could work well!! Also like [name_m]Otis[/name_m] and [name_m]Caspar[/name_m]
I think [name_m]Archie[/name_m] and [name_m]Edwin[/name_m] would make a pretty cohesive sibling pair. [name_m]Edwin[/name_m] [name_m]Ames[/name_m] or [name_m]Edwin[/name_m] [name_m]Abel[/name_m] was on our list for our second boy and I still adore it.
[name_f][/name_f]
We have a [name_m]Warren[/name_m] and a [name_m]Clyde[/name_m], so I have to suggest those two as well. LOVE Clyde’s name so much!
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_m]Hank[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Wilbur[/name_m] nn Wilby / Wilbs [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Edwin[/name_m] nn Win/Winnie [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Walter[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Fergus[/name_m] nn [name_m]Gus[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Digby[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Murphy[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Murray[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Stellan[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Sterling[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Harvey[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Afton[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Ansel[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Elmer[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Meyer[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Smith[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Jones[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Vincent[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Rudy[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Rueben[/name_m]
If you love [name_m]Solomon[/name_m], please use it! Archi€ and [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] create a fun, charming and very handsome pair. [name_m]Sol[/name_m] and Arch¡e sound adorable together! [name_f][/name_f]Longtime favorites are hard to match. If you kept it in your options for so long, it definitely has something special.
