Husband and I cannot decide on a name for baby #3. We already have two, [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_f]Elle[/name_f] [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f]. [name_u]August[/name_u] is a family name on his side and I have always loved the name [name_u]James[/name_u]. Bam, the only name we agreed on from the beginning. I always knew I would have a daughter named [name_f]Elle[/name_f], and our last name is [name_m]Wood[/name_m] so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to have [name_f]Elle[/name_f] [name_m]Wood[/name_m] :D. [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] is another family name, it took a while to grow on me but now I could never imagine another middle name for [name_f]Elle[/name_f].
We don’t really have a theme for names (obviously), however, we are considering using another family name for baby boy. I liked [name_m]Archie[/name_m] (family name) but when I mentioned it to my sister she mentioned a royal baby that was named [name_m]Archie[/name_m], so that name is going to be so overdone by the time baby boy is in school. Husband liked [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_m]Eli[/name_m], but I think [name_m]Eli[/name_m] and [name_f]Elle[/name_f] look funny next to each other. Husband also thinks baby boy’s name should be “special” and I agree- we’ve never known another [name_u]August[/name_u] or [name_f]Elle[/name_f].
Any suggestions would be so helpful!
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] sounds perfect! What about [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Archer[/name_m]/[name_m]Archie[/name_m]?
If it feels too common for you, do you like [name_m]Leon[/name_m] as an alternative?

My first thought was of [name_m]Archer[/name_m] [name_m]Leo[/name_m], as I see others also had. While I agree that [name_m]Archie[/name_m] will be quite common for this period of time, I don’t think [name_m]Archer[/name_m] will be quite so much, and while it’s still used well and familiar it’s a little less ‘overused’, just like [name_u]August[/name_u] & [name_f]Elle[/name_f]. It also gives you that namesake, just in a slightly different fashion. Also, if cutesy/quirky nicknames are something you like, [name_m]Archer[/name_m] [name_m]Leo[/name_m] could potentially be called “[name_m]Aro[/name_m]/[name_m]Arrow[/name_m]” which would make it even less common/trendy overall.

PP’s have some great ideas! I love [name_m]Leon[/name_m] [name_m]Archer[/name_m] especially! You could also try [name_m]Leopold[/name_m], [name_m]Leonidas[/name_m], or [name_m]Leonardo[/name_m] to get the nn [name_m]Leo[/name_m] but still have a more uncommon name. [name_m]Leopold[/name_m] [name_m]Archer[/name_m] sounds positively dashing!
I like the suggestions of [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] and [name_u]Elias[/name_u] too, but I think they’re still too close to [name_f]Elle[/name_f]. So perhaps a name that is similar to both [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_m]Eli[/name_m] - [name_m]Levi[/name_m]. [name_m]Levi[/name_m] [name_m]Archer[/name_m] is super handsome! [name_m]August[/name_m], [name_f]Elle[/name_f], and [name_m]Levi[/name_m] sound amazing together too!
