[name_m]Long[/name_m] time lurker, first time poster!!
I am mom to sweet little [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], who everyone calls [name_f]Pippa[/name_f]. In a few months, [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] will be a big sister! We love the name [name_m]Leo[/name_m] but are going back and forth about whether he needs a more substantial full name for the birth certificate. What do you experienced berries think about [name_m]Leonard[/name_m] vs [name_m]Leo[/name_m] to as [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]/[name_f]Pippa[/name_f]'s brother?
I actually like both with [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]. I find [name_m]Leo[/name_m] to be a great name on it’s own, for me it doesn’t need a longer version. But then again I don’t think siblings need to have names with the same length but rather of the same beauty. Siblings [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] share said beauty and are fantastic together (in my opinion)
I also noticed that many people drop the “o” in [name_m]Leonard[/name_m] so that’s something that puts me off.
I struggled with this too so we ended up with a [name_m]Leopold[/name_m] ( wanted [name_m]Leonardo[/name_m] and husband wouldn’t agree) that everyone calls [name_m]Leo[/name_m]. I still like longer and he can decide.
I think he needs a little more than [name_m]Leo[/name_m]. I liked the suggestions of [name_m]Leopold[/name_m] (really like it) or [name_m]Leonardo[/name_m]. But I would definitely go with just [name_m]Leo[/name_m] over [name_m]Leonard[/name_m] if you are really set on using one of those two.
The actress [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]Cruz[/name_u] has a son named [name_m]Leo[/name_m]! I think [name_m]Leo[/name_m] works very well as a stand alone and is a name that works internationally, much like your daughter’s name.
Really like just [name_m]Leo[/name_m] on its own. I think it has the same sophisticated charm as [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], and siblings [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]/[name_f]Pippa[/name_f] are prefect together!
