I am expecting baby #2 in [name_f]September[/name_f] and we won’t be finding out the sex ahead of time so I need to have names at the ready for both sexes. DS1 is [name_m]Wiley[/name_m] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m], both family names. I am finding [name_m]Wiley[/name_m] on a lot of “country boy” and “outdoorsy” name lists paired with names like [name_m]Clayton[/name_m] and [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] which are not our style. We definitely prefer more of a classic style and I think they sound a little funny and buttoned up with [name_m]Wiley[/name_m]. We strongly considered [name_m]William[/name_m] nn [name_m]Wiley[/name_m] for DS1 but [name_m]Wiley[/name_m] is my mother’s maiden name and we wanted to keep it as is.
Our list is pretty short, but I would greatly appreciate your thoughts on it. I am afraid that I might be overthinking it!
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m] nn [name_u]Sam[/name_u]
[name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_u]Emmett[/name_u]
[name_m]Cole[/name_m]
Our girl choice is [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] nn [name_f]Annie[/name_f]
Great list. I like [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] best on it’s own and also think it goes best with [name_m]Wiley[/name_m]. However, I think you should pick the name you like best and not put too much thought into matching [name_m]Wiley[/name_m]'s name. In my opinion sibling names don’t need to match. They are individual people. Most of their lives their names will stand alone, not as part of a sib set. So make it a good one!
I like [name_m]Henry[/name_m] a lot too.
Good luck.
I like [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] and [name_m]Cole[/name_m]. [name_m]Wiley[/name_m] is an unusual yet classic name, so I think his brother should have a similar styled name too. [name_u]Sam[/name_u] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] are classic but are too common to go along with [name_m]Wiley[/name_m]. Congrats, by the way!
I love [name_u]Emmett[/name_u]. It’s a name my husband has vetoed and it makes me sad because it’s an awesome name in my opinion. I think [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] and [name_m]Wiley[/name_m] go pretty well together.
I like the sound of [name_m]Wiley[/name_m] & [name_u]Sam[/name_u]! But, I agree with @llbaby22. If there is a name you find that you love, don’t worry about how well it goes with [name_m]Wiley[/name_m]. What matters is at the end of the day you love the name.
I think they all go just fine with [name_m]Wiley[/name_m] and are really all great names. My favorites being [name_u]Sam[/name_u] and [name_m]Cole[/name_m]. think people worry too much about sibsets [name_f]IMO[/name_f]…
I think all of those go well with [name_m]Wiley[/name_m]. They all have a bit of the “country” vibe that [name_m]Wiley[/name_m] has, but are classic ([name_f]Annabel[/name_f] too). My personal favorites are [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] and [name_u]Emmett[/name_u].
I really like all your names with [name_m]Wiley[/name_m], but my favorite would be [name_u]Emmett[/name_u]. It [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] seem a little popular compared to [name_m]Wiley[/name_m]. [name_m]Cole[/name_m] is nice too.
They go well with [name_m]Wiley[/name_m], although [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is a bit sound-alike. [name_m]Cole[/name_m] doesn’t seem so classy to me. [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] is a bit too old-man for me. I love [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], and I think [name_m]Wiley[/name_m] & [name_u]Sam[/name_u] sound adorable.
[name_m]Jonas[/name_m] [name_m]Cole[/name_m], nn [name_m]Jonny[/name_m] ([name_u]Johnnie[/name_u])
[name_m]Colton[/name_m] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], nn [name_m]Cole[/name_m]
[name_u]Corbin[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m], nn [name_u]Corby[/name_u]
[name_m]Samson[/name_m] [name_u]Owen[/name_u], nn [name_u]Sam[/name_u]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] [name_m]Grant[/name_m], nn [name_m]Harry[/name_m]
