I am very much in love with my top girl names ([name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f], [name_f]Florence[/name_f], [name_f]Ida[/name_f], [name_f]Augusta[/name_f]), but not with my top boys name (I mean I really love [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] and Auxence but they don’t seem to live up to the beauty of the girls.
So here’s the questions :
What would you name a brother to [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f], [name_f]Florence[/name_f], [name_f]Ida[/name_f] and [name_f]Augusta[/name_f]?
I understand where you’re at. Boy names are hard for me. So many are either boring and overused or a little too out there for me.
Here a few that I think strike a good balance:
@tallemaja I like [name_u]August[/name_u](e), [name_m]Archibald[/name_m], [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m], Contanstin(e), [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], [name_m]Edward[/name_m], [name_u]Francis[/name_u], [name_m]Lucien[/name_m], [name_m]Otto[/name_m], [name_m]Philip[/name_m], [name_u]Percy[/name_u], R(e)uben, [name_m]Tobias[/name_m], [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], [name_m]Walter[/name_m] and [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m]. Thank you for this long list.
@anon25197097 Thank you! I like [name_m]Casper[/name_m], [name_u]Elias[/name_u], [name_m]Ivar[/name_m], [name_m]Rupert[/name_m], [name_u]Penrose[/name_u], [name_m]Phineas[/name_m], [name_m]Victor[/name_m] and I am very intrigued by [name_u]Quince[/name_u]!
@VEL I like [name_m]Emil[/name_m], [name_m]Julius[/name_m] and I am starting to like [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] and [name_m]Cecil[/name_m]. Thank you
@Greyblue I like [name_m]Silas[/name_m], [name_m]Ernest[/name_m] and [name_u]Laurence[/name_u]. Thank you
@elffff Boys names are so hard. If I had girls now, I know what I would like to name them, if I had a boy, he would probably be BabyBoy for a while. I like [name_m]Harris[/name_m] and [name_m]Roman[/name_m]. Thank you
You’re welcome. I absolutely love [name_u]Penrose[/name_u] with the NN [name_u]Penn[/name_u] it sounds like some scholar. [name_u]Elias[/name_u] is a name we will be using if we have a boy! I also love [name_u]Laurence[/name_u] NN [name_u]Laurie[/name_u]. [name_m]Casper[/name_m] and [name_m]Ivar[/name_m] are handsome.
[name_m]Rupert[/name_m] you don’t hear very often and it sounds distinguished. [name_u]Quince[/name_u] is great. It’s fun whilst still retaining that classic vibe.
The problem I have with boy names is that I love [name_u]French[/name_u] names (Auxence, Clémenceau, Côme, Cléaume…) that are not easily pronounced in [name_f]English[/name_f] or names like [name_u]Penrose[/name_u], [name_m]Rupert[/name_m], [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m] and [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m], that sound terrible in [name_u]French[/name_u] and I need names to sound good in both languages.
Elias is fantastic (one of the rare names I like pronounced in [name_u]French[/name_u] and [name_f]English[/name_f] along with [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] and [name_m]Arthur[/name_m]).
