Kittredge feels girl to me because of the American Girl doll [name_u]Kit[/name_u] Kittredge. I prefer [name_u]Kit[/name_u] for boys, and would use it as a full name, but for girls, I like full name [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] or [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] nn [name_u]Kit[/name_u].
[name_f]My[/name_f] fav nn for [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] is [name_u]Isa[/name_u] or [name_f]Aura[/name_f]! I’ve never heard of Kittredge but it sounds kinda cool, my fav full name for [name_u]Kit[/name_u] is [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] though!
I chose [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f], but I also love [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Andromeda[/name_f], and [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] [name_f]Sybil[/name_f]. And I chose [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_u]Francis[/name_u], but I love [name_u]Kit[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] too.
On [name_u]Izzy[/name_u] vs [name_f]Dora[/name_f]. I don’t mind [name_u]Izzy[/name_u], but I always imagine people will automatically think it’s short for [name_f]Isabella[/name_f], which kinda makes me sad since it masks a more unusual and gorgeous name. I chose [name_f]Dora[/name_f] as it stands out more (in a good way).
I love Geogriana nn [name_u]Georgie[/name_u], but also Anna/Annie, [name_u]Jo[/name_u], and [name_f]Ora[/name_f].
I love [name_u]Kit[/name_u] as a stand alone name, but also as a nn for [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] (or [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], but I know it’s a stretch).
For me characters and meanings can be a big bonus for a name, but ultimately I have to love the sound.
I’m usually all for reducing the incidence of similar sounds, but honestly I love [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_u]Orion[/name_u]! The combined magic and space vibe is too good to pass up, and they flow really well to my ears. (I feel like I also had [name_u]Orion[/name_u] as a potential middle for [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] many moons ago ).
And I don’t dislike [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f], but I do prefer [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] and [name_u]Jo[/name_u].
I like [name_u]Izzy[/name_u] a lot as a nn for [name_f]Isadora[/name_f]. But I also love [name_f]Idgie[/name_f]!
I like [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] as a nn for [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f], but I mostly love [name_f]Ani[/name_f]. And [name_f]Gigi[/name_f]!
I like [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] nn [name_u]Kit[/name_u]. [name_u]Or[/name_u] [name_u]Beckett[/name_u], [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] or Cricket?! But I think that it works on its own fine.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] many of these! And you and I seem to have very similar taste especially in boy names I voted for almost every single boy name on your list.
For [name_u]Kit[/name_u]— [name_u]Christian[/name_u] is my favorite way to get there, followed closely by [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]. But I do like Kittredge! I think it’s very creative.
