What are your impressions/opinions of “[name]Alice[/name] [name]Cecilia[/name]”? Both are family names with special significance. The last name is [name]Emery[/name]. My partner and I prefer the traditional spelling of [name]Cecilia[/name] (and it cuts down on three sets of CEs). [name]Do[/name] you think this name combo is too “essy”?

I look forward to reading your thoughts. Thanks a bundle for your help!

P.S. We pronounce it with four syllables as sə-SEE-lee-ə or something like Sah-See-Lee-Ah.

[name]Way[/name] too essy, sorry :frowning:

[name]Cecilia[/name] [name]Alice[/name] seems less essy somehow? Would you switch them?

I think it’s essy, but I don’t mind it because I think the names go well together and you won’t go around calling her [name]Alice[/name] [name]Cecilia[/name] all the time. You’ll mostly use just [name]Alice[/name].

Yeah, it’s too essy for my liking, but it you don’t mind it, it’s fine set.

I think [name]Cecilia[/name] [name]Alice[/name] [name]Emery[/name] flows better than [name]Alice[/name] [name]Cecilia[/name] [name]Emery[/name], but I love both names and if they mean so much to you and your family, go for it!

It’s a little essy, but it’s beautiful, so I think it works. [name]Alice[/name] [name]Cecilia[/name] [name]Emery[/name] sounds like a princess

I actually quite like it, and the ssy thig doesn’t really bother me. I kind of find the [name]Cecelia[/name] [name]Emery[/name] part a bit too ‘e’ heavy though (sorry if this throws another spanner in the works)

I kind of find the Cecelia Emery part a bit too ‘e’ heavy though (sorry if this throws another spanner in the works)

I think she said they’re spelling it [name]Cecilia[/name] [name]Emery[/name] to help avoid that

I love both names, and the “essy” sound doesn’t really bother me. Go for it!

I really love [name]Alice[/name] [name]Cecilia[/name]! I hadn’t even noticed it until you said something, but then again, I didn’t try saying it out loud until you said something, either. I still don’t think it’s bad enough to be a deal breaker. When you say it out loud, do you have troubles? That would be my only hesitation. You’re the one that’ll have to yell it when she’s in trouble, so I would make sure it’s something you’re comfortable with.

For what it’s worth, I absolutely love [name]Alice[/name] [name]Cecilia[/name] [name]Emery[/name], I think it’s stunning.

Good luck!

I think [name]Alice[/name] [name]Cecilia[/name] [name]Emery[/name] would be a name any girl would be proud to wear!

Oh, wow, thank you for the lovely comments! I’ve always loved the name [name]Cecilia[/name], and [name]Alice[/name] has grown on me during this pregnancy. [name]Alice[/name] [name]Cecilia[/name] feels like the best fit for her, even if it is essy and clustered with the same letters!

To answer a question that was raised a couple of times: switching her name to [name]Cecilia[/name] [name]Alice[/name] is something my partner’s not comfortable with because we’re planning to call her [name]Alice[/name]–he’s a [name]James[/name] [name]Andrew[/name] who’s always gone by [name]Andrew[/name] and has had to constantly correct people on such.

It does seem “essy” to me, but if the names are significant enough to you, I’d definitely overlook that and just go with it.

I think they look lovely written, but my concern is that said aloud it kind of sounds like [name]Alissa[/name] [name]Celia[/name] – the S sounds run together and it’s hard to tell where one name stops and the next begins. That said, I think both names are great and it’s not very often you’ll say the first and middle together, so if you love them, use them!

Yeah its a little essy, but I like it!

[name]Alice[/name] [name]Cecilia[/name] is quite pretty
[name]Alice[/name] [name]Emery[/name] is lovely
And (I dont know if youd ever use it!) I love the idea of nn [name]Ace[/name]!

I think its a nice name. I’ve said it out loud a few times and I don’t think it is difficult at all. I think you all did good finding a pretty name.

Aw, thanks!

I also love the nn [name]Ace[/name].

Bump. I’m still worrying about the abundance of soft Cs or S sounds…
