Helena [name_f]Ro[/name_f]se, Heather [name_f]Ro[/name_f]milly, or Heidi [name_f]Ro[/name_f]bin!

I think Eleanore3 is on to something. Pick your favourite He- name and [name_f]Ro[/name_f]- middle and you’ve got your [name_u]Hero[/name_u].

As a side note, not that it helps much, but I really like [name_f]Hera[/name_f] as a given name.

In trying to find something to nickname [name_u]Hero[/name_u] I discovered Herais, but I’m honestly not even sure of the pronunciation. It seems like a name that has potential.
Most of the options I found are rather unusual names.

Heraclea nn [name_u]Hero[/name_u]

[name_f]Hermine[/name_f] | [name_f]Hermina[/name_f] | [name_f]Herminia[/name_f] | Hermiona nn [name_u]Hero[/name_u]

[name_f]Hersilia[/name_f] nn [name_u]Hero[/name_u]

Hillervo nn [name_u]Hero[/name_u]

[name_f]Scheherazade[/name_f] nn [name_u]Hero[/name_u] or [name_f]Hera[/name_f]

hmm…names that mean “hero” or something similar could work, like Finley, Ilda, Valda, or Clotilda? there’s Herophile, but i’m inclined to think that’s less usable than just Hero. same goes for Hereswith or Hereswintha. Hermia could work, or maybe Heron as a middle? Catherine could work as a bit of a stretch, as could Cherith, Esther, or Margherita, i think that Ophira or Sapphira nicknamed Hero could be really cute!
