Her name is [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], she’s short and a bit chubby, with soft curves and round cheeks. She has a lot of freckles that get darker in the summer and a lot of dark curly hair. Tall, wavy brown hair and piercing green eyes. Lives on a remote Scottish island with his family and younger sisters and brother. Wants to venture out. Wants to secretly fall in love. Wants to persue a career outside of his home life. ( They are a farming family). Writes in a journal but keeps this secret from his best friends as they would laugh at him. Is doing up his uncles motorcycle of whom he is close too, but sadly passed away. Passed his test ( much to his parents annoyance) drives it everywhere. Loves the wind in his hair and the freedom.
A new family move into the area who are after buying up the land to build properties… Which threatens their livelihood but the daughter has caught his eye. There is a real clash of egos/ehtos though at first, she is a snob, he is modest, she is aloof and he is an open book, but in the end, we see she feels the same way about him. She misses her home in the city, she doesn’t get on with her father, who she feels doesn’t spend any time with her and is more interested in her twin brother.
She wants freedom too but in a different way, freedom to express who she is and be recognised. They both want freedom from familial business ties.They each have common interests they just don’t know it yet. He reminds her how beautiful life can be in the country, and that her ego driven ways are not the best way to live. She reminds him to lighten up and to have confidence in his ambitions. He also starts photographing her and they sneak out for midnight picnics and rides on his motorcycle. Slowly but surely they fall madly in love. They find a type of freedom in each other, yet ironically this freedom feels like ‘home’
